Ben Smith Releases Selectively Edited Obama Race Video
Breitbart.com ^ | 3/7/2012 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Posted on 03/07/2012 11:01:57 AM PST by Jayster

Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.” The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright--about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours. However, the video has been selectively edited--either by the Boston television station or by Buzzfeed itself. Over the course of the day, Breitbart.com will be releasing additional footage that has been hidden by Obama's allies in the mainstream media and academia. Breitbart.com Editor-in-Chief Joel Pollak and Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro will appear on The Sean Hannity Show to discuss the tape. The full tape will be released tonight on Fox News' Hannity.

Possible the plan of the insiders. He’s probably been a good boy so they want to reward him with 4 more years.

Blacks Were Dealt A Bad Hand From The Nation’s Beginning
September 4, 1987|

By Derrick Bell, Newsday

Black people are the sacrificial lambs of American constitutional law. At the country’s beginning they were the victims of the slavery compromises that made the Constitution possible, and which condemned them to a subordinate status from which they have never fully emerged.

Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall called these compromises ‘’flaws’’ in a much publicized speech earlier this year, but the surrender of black rights to further white interests reveals less a flaw than the function race serves in minimizing and stabilizing the society’s many political and socio-

economic class differences.

(snip)

Policies of racial sacrifice are much in evidence today. A key component of the Reagan administration’s political success has been the sacrifice of black civil-rights gains to hold the votes of many whites who have hardly benefited from policies that enrich the rich, while disadvantaging the white as well as black poor.

Policies based on the racial-sacrifice ritual are not painless, as the devastation among the black poor and the disenchantment among even successful members of the black middle class will attest.

Paradoxically, the sacrifice is made easier because blacks, perhaps more than most Americans, have never been tempted by non-democratic ideologies and have kept faith in the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, so much proclaimed by whites and so little enjoyed by blacks.

Even as the bicentennial bells ring, that faith is being strained as never before. Should it finally fail, frantic efforts to atone for the sacrifices of blacks made to undergird the dominance of whites could come too late.

Breitbart’s team is releasing the full video though.

...and if the video doesn't contain whatever is expected to be on it, Michael Rivero and his pals will insist it was either tampered with or the Breitbart crew was threatened to edit it. LOL!

I was quite surprised reading the threads about Arapio’s report, how many people on FR did not know much or anything about the forgeries and were convinced, solely by Arpaio’s posse’s findings, that Zero’s documents are forged. SOme of these people actually used to scoff and sneer at “birthers” and just because of INFORMATION that they could easily grasp, now “GET IT”.

The truth will set you free. Dirges about “no one will ever care” are bullshit.

There are 100’s of students there; why have none of them conveniently come forward previously, to tell America that *they saw the president (little p) speak, one day* at Haaavaaard? Hmmmm.

So far they haven’t showed anything interesting at all. They better have more than this.

I think that’s all there is, at least for tonight. Nobody will report on this, let alone explain why its significant.

Excerpt:

In the meantime, I thought it might be interesting to have a few fun facts about the late Professor in advance of the show.

This obituary, written upon his death, had some interesting points to make:

Bell was credited with developing “critical race theory,” which suggested that the U.S. legal system was inherently biased against African Americans and other minorities because it was built on an ingrained white point of view.

He argued in his many books and lectures that the life experiences of black people and other minorities should be considered in hiring decisions and in applying the law.

Bell maintained that the standards for promotion and tenure at law schools – and Harvard, in particular – were inherently discriminatory and excluded a broad group of minorities. By hiring only graduates of top-tier law schools who had clerked at the Supreme Court, he argued, academia was populated by a uniform group of standard-issue professors, most of them white men.

And why are we not surprised that he was a Farrakhan supporter?

Some scholars, both black and white, challenged Bell’s ideas, as well as his strong support of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Nonetheless, Bell remained one of the country’s most outspoken public intellectuals until his death.

Author James Traub voiced this opinion in his 1993 piece on the professor:

That’s Derek Bell’s bottom line: if it comforts whites, it’s bad; if it comforts blacks–i.e., Farrakhan–it’s good. Bell, along with Farrakhan and so many others, offers victimization as a consolation.

Yes, I imagine there will be so much more to learn about the good professor.

Intimidation with the always present hate-filled hunt for reparations is totally the name of their evil game. And they’ve got the perfect grudge-filled potus and atty general to fulfill their dreams.

Barack Obama in a 1990 video at Harvard protests in favor of the cause of Professor Derek Bell and the hiring of more minority faculty members.

Re BHO’s teaching style and substance

Excerpt:

First up, John C. Eastman, Dean and Donald P. Kennedy Chair in Law at Chapman University and a former clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas:

My one criticism of the course is his recommendation that students read Derrick Bell’s summary of some landmark (if notorious) Supreme Court decisions. Cases such as Dred Scott v. Sanford, The Slaughterhouse Cases, and Plessy v. Ferguson, and in particular the strong dissenting opinions in those cases, cry out for careful study of the original materials, not a secondary summary.

Only occasionally do then-Professor Obama’s decidedly personal views come across. He refers to Justice Scalia’s approach to assessing fundamental rights as “cramped,” for example. But on the whole, this is a body of course materials that is as would be expected of Chicago Law Professors.

I just saw the video and it is not much. He went and hugged Greene before he spoke. That is about it. They don’t even show greene speaking. Just Obama speaking about we must support this poor little Professor who was not tenured and when he went up to speak, Obama hugged him. end of video. I think 15 seconds were edited from the original. Now they say that they will release more next week.....This is just a stunt to get people to either the website or watch Hannity. I was not impressed with Ben Shapiro at all. He is a “talk with your hands” type. He seems a bit feminine. Anyway I used to read his articles all the time and his books. No smoking gun at all from tonight!

You got that right. I waited to see Sean Hannity{even though I hate Hannity} and came away saying “That was a long run for a short slide”.
Look at all the things this jerk-off has said and done before tha last election. But McCain didnt really want to attack Obama so the GOP laid down, spread its legs and thought of England while Obama screwed US. And look at his dismal record as POTUS. He makes Carter seem like a genius.
Sorry, this tape was nothing.
