No, I meant the fact that the Bishops supported health care being available to all is not what was wrong, the actual Health Care Bill is obviously wrong. Disrespecting religious freedom is dangerous and inhumane.

At this point there is no doubt whatt the underlying cause of the threat is. The Church has made it's opposition very clear. Since the media seems to be under total control of the father of deception, it is up to us to spread the word that we are in a tangible spiritual battle and the enemy has shown his face.

If you don’t think Bishops are also part politicans, your very naive....I’ll leave the judging of heretic to you. Of course no bishops were involved in the sex scandel that rocked the church. I once read that the floor of hell is paved with the skulls of bishops. But that was of course only an opinion. Why are some so blind to what happens in the church and has happened for hundreds of years...go back far enough in church history and such posts were bought and sold by the wealthy.....Read the history some time in the middle ages...

The history of humanity is dark and evil, imperfect men followed Jesus, and continue to do so to this day. That doesn't negate the many amazing heroes that have given their lives to serve God and their brothers. It is complete ignorance not to know that priests, no matter their formal education, can only serve God. They willingly take an oath of loyalty only to God. That means they can't get jobs outside of the church, or get married etc. They are completely dedicated to serving God, and understand that doing otherwise would be serving two masters.

Heresy, is not a matter of my personal judgment, it is a formal process of dealing with servants of the church who are unfaithful to their vocations, and biblical teachings, "who is not with me, is against me". Luke 11. Both the church and people within it have fallen many times, but Hades has NEVER prevailed as Jesus promised. (Thank you Father for your infinite mercy) That is the history of our humanity. Those of us who follow Jesus understand this, forgive, and try to be better. No one is excempt from our fallen nature. Even you granny. May God bless and heal you.

No, the core problem is conflating socialism with charity. Coerced "charity" in the form of socialist redistribution only engenders resentment on the part of the "givers" and ingratitude on the part of the "receivers". True charity is an opening of the heart from which many graces flow to both parties. Redistribution by some remote governmental agency dispensing political favors is a forced opening of the wallet and provides no such benefits.

Historically the Church's temporal mission was in support of its larger supernatural one. Government bureaucracies are soulless and make no such pretense. The bishops made their deal with the devil a long time ago. But there has yet to be any sign that they are repenting their long-standing socialist leanings.
