RUSH: I want to ask if you will indulge me for just a brief few minutes for some inside baseball stuff before we move on to our review of the issues of the day, politics and so forth, Super Tuesday, the results, and where we are. The reason for this is, once again, so much misinformation about this program and advertisers is in the mainstream media. People are reporting things that, A, are not true, and B, I don't even think the people reporting it have the slightest idea what they're talking about, nor do they have the ability to understand it.
But I know that many of you are spending a lot of time -- God bless you -- on the Web doing what you can to express your support for the program. And judging from the reaction of my own brother, who sends me a note last night, "You really lost 28 sponsors?" No, we have not lost 28 sponsors. "Well, how can they say it?" Because they lie and because they don't understand how it works, and that's what I want to try and explain. In fact, folks, we have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks. Now, obviously, I'm not gonna tell you who they are today, but we've got three brand-new, full-fledged sponsors starting in the next two weeks.
Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. Not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back. Everything is fine on the business side. Everything's cool. There is not a thing to worry about. What you're seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect.

Rush, fear not!!! This issue has backfired on the low life, Democrat “Dirt Bags” and that “Hate America” POTUS, Barack Hussein “I love the Muslim Brotherhood” Obama!!! End of story!!! This sickening excuse for a woman, Ms. Fluke, did not even last fifteen minutes!!!

If he allows Carbonite back on I’m finding another station for my commute.

I don’t much care about the “inside baseball” aspects of the story. I just hated the “gotcha” aspect of the Carbonite commercials. When I’m making an effort to hear what he’s talking about, and it turns out to be a commercial, I feel cheated, I get pi$$ed and change the channel (usually to Sat rad) for the rest of my commute.
I wish it would not be such a financial sacrifice for Rush to run for the WH. Can you imagine a Sarah/Rush or Rush/Sarah ticket? Win or lose it would be a time to remember.
Looks like Carbonite might be in the middle of a dead-cat bounce. Only marginally up today. It’s been on a steady downtrend for several months. Every earnings report has indicated a significant loss, although the losses appear to be diminishing each quarter (Earnings -$0.26 for current quarter).
Rush explained affiliate advertising very clearly. He lost nothing.
Well that was a nice spin Rush but, a few of the advertisers had you personally speaking for them and we bought their products on your word and endorsement alone.
Would have never heard of CryBabyNite without you, Sean and Levin.

You also spoke for Stamps.com. Don’t know they if they are on the list of those advertisers who don’t want the ads on during your time slot but there are others you personally endorsed.
The advertisers made it clear their positions and you even said something to the effect “They are saying they don’t need you as a customer”.
This whole thing was a setup and a bunch of bunk.
I won’t be purchasing any of their products and I was considering Sherrie’s Berries for Mother’s Day. Not gonna happen..... Evuh.
They wanted to be moralists, well then fine.

The whole lot pig piles on Rush like a pack of dogs on the weakest member, then run yelping at the slightest sign of trouble.

I have always suspected that Rush is a FReeper.
Better still... get Mozy on as an advertiser, and then publicly announce that not only did Carbonite screw up. but they gave their rival a large increase in business. .
