Video: Gingrich Senior Advisor Randy Evans Explains Delegate Math (Karl Rove Gets Schooled)
newt.org ^ | March 7, 2012 | Rabdy Evans

Posted on 03/07/2012 5:54:58 PM PST by Red Steel

On Fox News, Randy Evans outlines Newt’s path forward and breaks down the delegate math, which shows 2/3 of delegates are still available.

Brett Baier - We thought we'd have a battle of the white boards here. First to you Randy. How does Speaker Gingrich get this nomination? How do you plan to say you can have the number of delegates?

Randy Evans - Well Brett, lets start with two things first is that this idea that somehow the nomination is over. That somehow nobody can get the number now or that governor Romney has it. Lets look at this board here that Karl would appreciate. Three big numbers, one is Texas with 152 delegates; Eight winner take all states, 382, but the big number is 503 delegates who are not bound. Basically, you have a 1,000 delegates, a 1,000 delegates that are in play and those are in play all across the country, and they are at play in terms of Texas in big numbers.

Karl Rove "conveniently forgets" a big key fact in the "Battle of the White Boards." Gingrich's key senior adviser Evans easily wins the battle.

I saw this-Randy use to be Karl's go to guy on this stuff. Ha. All hell coming, to pressure Newt to get out. I bet they pour negative ads in the south. I am praying the good people in the south go with Newt (who has more leadership-the more you hear Ricky, you think he was reading Newt's speeches. Santo supporters are flooding Sarah Palin’s facebook, scolding her in voting for Newt... Get this.. due to his adultery. No kidding. Now, we know why some are hanging with Santos. The moderator there has been busy.

Rove harping on Newt losing the south? first of all due to some questionable tactics in VA..Newt was not on the ballot and 2nd of all..I never considered Oklahoma to be a southern state. Newt won Georgia, SC and he came in 2nd in Fla (another rigged deal) That leaves Tennessee.

I hope Newt stays in and he wins Texas. That would silence Rove and his followers. We shall see. It is best to avoid the Coulters, Roves and Fox. We know whose side they are on...let Newt rattle and shake up the establishment.

due to his adultery

It was pretty apparent after South Carolina. That’s about when I joined the debate. A good percentage of the anti Newt posts had to due with his personal life. There were even outright lies about him leaving his wife in the hospital with cancer. Another thing that made me angry were the people running around saying things about the ethics charges they knew were false.

I agree, I saw that too.

It has to be pretty lame to go to her web page and post hateful comments; they are suppose to be loving and forgiving hearts. I couldn't believe all of the hatefulness. Palin supporters didn't stand for it.

Tokyo Rove made two errors in his presentation:

1. 32-25 = 7 , not 5.

2. He said Romney got 41 delegates in VA, and Newt 0 and Santorum 0. Newt and Santorum were not on the ballot, and write-ins were not allowed.

I would love to someday see Tokyo Rove standing outside the media buildings holding his whiteboard, pleading for someone to interview him.

Santorum is throwing this thing to Mitt. He’s not in the same class as Newt. He has about a third of the GOP, which is as far as he can go.
The nation is in dire financial condition. Obama is about to start a war in Iran, and the rest of the middle east is boiling over because of Obama. We realistically have to repeal Obamacare THIS term.
And little ricky is delusional enough to think that i give a rats ass about Newts marital problems a decade ago? The lunatic,,

A person would have to be certifiable to think he could attract enough support from the middle to defeat Obama. He has maxxed out his percentage with people who share his religious position. He can go no farther.

I think he is working to eliminate Newt,,then close a veep deal with Romney for an establishment win.

I think they keep that quiet. As soon as it became public, she voted for Newt, they came there in criticizing her- how as a Christian woman how she could support Newt.

>> I hope Newt stays in and he wins Texas.

I’m looking forward to voting for him... now that the judges have so graciously allowed us Texans to exercise our right to vote.

Take a stroll down my posting history where I made the same observation. There were virtually no responses to those posts.

Gingrich and Santorum split the conservative vote, demand the other drops out, and attack each other, while Romney gets to say he wants to stay above the fray.

You thought wrong. After Santorum wins Mississippi, Alabama and Texas will you dismiss those results as well?

Newt can’t win but he can end up throwing the nomination to Romney.

I have always thought of Oklahoma as a western state”

You may want to change your thinking. Oklahoma is part of the original southern or Dixie states.

“Karl Rove “conveniently forgets” a big key fact in the “Battle of the White Boards.” Gingrich’s key senior adviser Evans easily wins the battle. “

What Evans doesnt say is that even if most of the delegates are yet to be selected, with Gingrich in 3rd place in polls in most states - HE WONT GET THEM.

In Texas, for example, Santorum led the latest poll, then Romney. Newt was 3rd.
