New Blacklist: Meatloaf 'Banned' For Being Republican
Breitbart ^ | 3/9/12 | John Nolte

Posted on 03/09/2012 1:05:17 PM PST by Nachum

Those of us who understand how the New Blacklist works aren't at all surprised to hear Meatloaf's claim that after being outed as a Republican he now has fewer media outlets interested in helping him to promote his work.

But it's the reaction of the Esquire writer that's most interesting:

MEATLOAF: I'm not dealing with those subjects. Hell in a Handbasket is not dealing with the political nature of the country. It's dealing with the humanity and the compassion of the world. I can give you an example — I've been banned from two TV shows.

ESQUIRE: For what?

ML: Because USA Today has me listed as a Republican.

ESQ: And the shows don't want Republican guests?

ML: Yeah. I've heard those stories, but I didn't really believe they'd do that.

ESQ: So the real issue you're getting at on the album is a lack of humanity and compassion in the world?

I agree.

I sought that path against their wishes. I still like playing guitar and writing though.

I do love some Foo Fighters, can’t help it, they sound great!

They tend to S.U.A.S. for the most part.

Cobain seemed to like guns... he killed himself with one.

I thought he swore that he didn't have a gun.

“If 3/4ths of FReepers would seriously vote for Socialist Slick Willard, this isn’t much of a Conservative site.”

Some of us FReepers are not willing to abandon the USA to Marxist rule quite yet.

Romney is not a pure conservative but he is not an America-hating Marxist.

“The problem would be finding new material to show on it and the actors to perform in the new material.”

I must laugh at that, wave a dollar bill in the air and wannabe writers and actors come running.

Most will not be “names,” but who cares, there are plenty of talented no-names.

<i>...if he’s the nominee, then JimRob is going to have to can 3/4 of his membership since we’re set on getting Obama out of office no matter who is the nominee.

Whew! Glad I'm safely in that 25%!

How it is ironic that people who support the ocnstitution stand up for free speech mroe than those who support Marxism?

It would be ironic if a Marxist stood up for any free speech that opposed their superior ideas and directives.

It’s JR’s site and he can allow whoever he wants to post on here. I think lately about 20-25% on here are libs in disguise. Too many newbs saying things that don’t sound conservative to me. (Even after zotting Romney supporters.) They need to be zotted too, IMO. The Repub primary looks too much like Operation Chaos.

The Left has no tolerance for diverse views, and will use any force it can muster to suppress it.

I am ready to join the ping list for the “cynical & bitter”.

the RINO’s are just part of the problem. It’s when ya get out and meet the conservative grassroots that ya see the bigger problem. Ya, some of them are great patriots. But a good number of them are pigs.

They wrecked the Santorum campaign in NH, ME, and MA. The VT crowd managed to get 24% on TUES despite having ZERO support from the regional committee. They just made a bunch of homemade signs and downloaded and printed their own materials and did what they could.

And, yes, NH VT ME was the only campaign we had here, so don’t tell me that it is too trivial. MITT sure did not think those states were crap.

Santorum has a full slate of delegates in NY, no easy task. I do not know if he got on the RI ballot.

do you have any thoughts on the MASS House seats after re-districting? How ‘bout #2 McGovern and Tsongas? At this point my only interest is CT-5, the open seat. 5-way GOP primary and 3-way DEM primary.
