The Southern Poverty Law Center, founded in 1971 as a civil rights law firm, has released its latest "Intelligence Report" on hate groups in the United States. This year's report contains a new category: the Manosphere.
From the SPLC's introduction to the misogyny report:
The so-called “manosphere” is peopled with hundreds of websites, blogs and forums dedicated to savaging feminists in particular and women, very typically American women, in general. Although some of the sites make an attempt at civility and try to back their arguments with facts, they are almost all thick with misogynistic attacks that can be astounding for the guttural hatred they express. What follows are brief descriptions of a dozen of these sites. Another resource is the Man Boobz website (manboobz.com), a humorous pro-feminist blog (its tagline is “Misogyny: I Mock It”) that keeps a close eye on these and many other woman-hating sites.
It is truly sublime that a group the DHS cited in its controversial report on right-wing terrorism now turns to a website called "Man Boobz" for its hate-group reporting. More sublime is the fact that the SPLC has listed a D.C.-area pickup artist who goes by RooshV in its list of women-haters:

Wow! Thanks for the link. One can live very “high on the hog” just pimping hatred of America. I don’t know who the fools are that give this maggot their money but they sure can’t be very bright. I don’t see any “poverty” in that house.
One of the comments on the site I linked from stated that the SPLC has succeeded admirably in than none of the people who run it have ever experienced poverty.
Yeah, people just aren't scared of the Klan anymore. Looks like Al Bundy and The Fonz are the new threat to progressives.
SPLC is a scam based upon the old mafia protection racket, imho. They write scary articles about their bogeyman du jour, nearly always southern and white, in order to reinforce their direct mail and online fundraising.
Got to keep on ratcheting up the fear to shake the money tree of donations and contributions, primarily from elderly academics and Jewish people. They’ve relieved them of quite the sum over the decades, but from all appearances based upon their reliably shrill cries of alarm, the SPLC is either incompetent or they really just don’t want their threats to go away. It’s too lucrative.
The really sadly funny thing is, we’ve got a contingent here on FR, who periodically trot out this or that SPLC evil cracker porn as if it’s the gospel truth. That I will never understand. If they’re anything, the SPLC is an anticonservative hate group. They deserve nothing but derision and negative exposure here.
The very simple and effective response to anything the SLPC claims is to accuse them of crying “wolf”.
Because it’s true.
The SPLC is to civil rights as Scientology is to religion. The SPLC is a money racket.

About 10 years ago Simon Wiesenthal Center put out CD
called “DIGITAL HATE” listing “hate Groups” on internet
Among those tagged as “haters” were
Company selling freeze dried food (it was nailed because
said its products were excellent in survival situations)
Group of Utah women who formed group supporting 2nd Ad
(tagged as anti gubmint extremists)
Children’s clown who wrote on website supporting 2nd Ad
(anti gubmint/militia extremist)
About 90% of hate groups named were tagged because of support for 2nd Ad
This is good news in a way.
It means we’re finally running out of neo-Nazis and KKK types.
What about misandrist hate groups like the N.A.G.s?
