Freshman Sen. Rand Paul is making good on his promise to cut federal spending. The Kentucky Republican and tea-party favorite said Thursday hes returning $500,000 to the U.S. Treasury money from his operating budget that his office never spent.
The half million dollars represents about 16 percent of Pauls annual budget. Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) returned $636,036 in unspent money to the Treasury in Fiscal Year 2010 and another $503,161 in 2011.

Before we all get too teary eyed over Johnny Isakson lets don’t forget his RINO voting record. He and our other potted plant Chabliss never saw a POS Democratic bill they wouldn’t co-sponsor. The two of them are like gum on the bottom of your shoe. We will never get rid of them.
Thanks for that heads up on senator Johnny. I do not know much about him. He is rarely in the news. Rand Paul makes frequent appearances on Fox so I know a bit about him. He talks fiscal conservatism all the time.
Johnny (I’ve met him personally - he attended the church where my extended family once attended) has never met a public job for which he wouldn’t run for office. He’s a back-sliding elitist opportunist who only wants his part of public power and largesse.
Many, many voters forget he once tried to support McCain and Bush in the ill-fated amnesty attempt for Mexican Illegals (along with that traitor Chamblis) only to get bitch-slapped down by their own voters to relent and retract.
They (both of them) relented, retracted and conformed. They changed their tunes but not their hearts and minds. When I vote, if I see one of their names on the ballot, I’ll take the other choice - even if it is a Democrat.
Amen girl....you’re right.
I haven’t forgotten...
I highly admire Rand Paul.
I voted for the Libertarian who was running agains’t Suxby Charmless last time in the primary. Then everybody said that we had to run out and vote for him in the general to keep the Dems from getting a super majority so I did. Never again. Last time Isakson was up I just skipped that part of the ballot. I won’t vote Democrat but he’s on his own from now on and so is Suxby.
