It always makes me sad to see how many conservative “men” get such a kick out of imagining homosexual prison rape. (Not implying anything about your post, just commenting about what I guess a lot of the replies will be.)

I think it is mostly that everyone tries to be a comedian but I agree with you. Some things get repeated so often, such as the line about losing one’s guns in a tragic boating accident, that they get to be irritating.
