President Obama signs Executive Order allowing for control over all US resources

On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1950 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in times of war or emergency.

The National Defense Resources Preparedness order gives the Executive Branch the power to control and allocate energy, production, transportation, food, and even water resources by decree under the auspices of national defense and national security. The order is not limited to wartime implementation, as one of the order's functions includes the command and control of resources in peacetime determinations.

Additionally, each cabinet under the Executive Branch has been given specific powers when the order is executed, and include the absolute control over food, water, and other resource distributions.

The Obama administration appears to be preparing for a long drawn out war in the Middle East, or at the very least, an expected crisis that will require the need to override Constitutional authority and claim dominion over all resources in the United States under the guise of national defense. With the rise in Disaster Preparedness growing for both individuals and states leading up to yesterday's Executive Order, the mood of the nation points strongly towards some event or disaster that will require massive preparations on a national as well as local scale.

My thoughts, FWIW--

- I have wondered for some time if nobama would try and cancel or "permanently delay" the November elections. Maybe this is somehow connected with that?

- Perhaps the nobama regime believes there is a credible threat to the US from Iran. Possibly a surgical electro-magnetic pulse explosion (don't need a nuke for that).

- Maybe this is tied to the "talk from the shadows" that FEMA has been provisioning some of the closed military bases (refurbing barracks and building more, with lots and lots of barbed wire) for who knows what.

As the Chinese say, we live in interesting times.

He’s in serious trouble with the elecorate and he knows it, so he needs a back-up plan to take care of the election.

I just skimmed this....but a Republican candidate who’s even half as smart as Joe Biden could/would/should jump all over it.

At least this travesty is inching it's way out into cyberspace.
As of this morning, the only place anyone had seen/heard about it was here on FR.

While poking around on the Examiner site, this bit of info showed itself:

CBS Local Digital Media and Examiner.com Form Original Content Partnership

Given their having gotten into bed with CBS,
it'll be interesting to see how long Examiner's coverage of this issue lasts once the weekend's over . . .

For those who've yet to see it, here's a hotlink for the original FR posting this morning:

These kinds of laws are predicated on the assumption that a president would be a patriot, a man to honor his oath of office and uphold the US Constitution, and one to hold the interests of America and Americans first and foremost in his heart.

No one ever thought we would have a person like Barack Obama as president. A man who is a traitor to the country, a traitor to his oath of office, a traitor to the US Constitution and a man who does not love America or place our interests first.

A man like Barack Obama cannot be trusted to exercise this kind of authority in the ways intended.

Come whatever tyrant acts to seize and keep power Obama might try, I don’t think our military will stand for it. Nor will an armed populace.

We Need a patriotic rebellion for real.

To fire everyone who is there in DC and undo the government and media aggression.

It looks like the leftists in power are setting the stage in case when he wins reelection- they know most of us will see it as a stolen election; they will have things set to fast express his agenda. This guy is for real, folks. Do we think John McCain and the Speaker from Ohio will do much. Are they brave? I think dark days are ahead. If it were a video game; if one were into seeing countries turn from being a free nation of free people to countries such as China or Venezuela; guess it could be a captivating game. Our Founding Fathers gave us the blueprint of this very scenario happening and of how for us not to allow it. This is becoming scary, really.

Considering that everything from a hangnail to a paper cut is deemed a crisis requiring government intervention, I can just imaging what would qualify for an emergency.

be prepared, in the event of a potential threat to the security of the United States, to take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements

"in the event of a potential threat to the security"

Not even an actual threat. A potential threat.

Amen, that is the difference between Obama and a man like Bush.

Bush had his faults, but he could be trusted to not do something like this.

Obama is AMORAL and cannot be trusted.

I am not a lawer, but I understood that executive orders apply only to the departments of the executive branch under control of the President. Perhaps some Lawyer Freeper could confirm this. The elections are under control of the states.

Of course, he could always just act like he had the power to seize private property or cancel elections and if not challenged by “the people” and the states then I suppose he would have raw power, just no legal basis for his actions.
