The ONLY reason why he is apologizing now is because he was about to get sued. The McClain family had hired an attorney to sue Spike Lee, now very convenient for him that he decided to apologize now. Guess he was afraid his wealth was going to be taken away from him

But he didn't apologize for tweeting an address he though was Zimmerman's, presumably to that he can be harmed. He apologized for tweeting the wrong address.

This mistake was known for the last couple of days and he apologizes now? He probably heard the couple lawyered up and plan on suing his ass to kingdom come. This delay will be noted in court - if in fact it did just come out, I don’t do twitter so I can’t tell.

but it was also on twitter hours ago, the attorney has his own twitter account and he said he was representing the family. I hope they decide to go through with this lawsuit. This phony apology by Lee is only so that he can keep his millions, he was adamant about not apologizing this morning, but the second he heard about the McClains getting a lawyer he quickly had to say he was sorry
