Romney nails endorsements from George H.W. Bush and Florida Senator Marco Rubio

Mitt Romney trotted out a pair of big-name GOP endorsements Thursday to urge Republicans to close ranks around him — but his main rivals refuse to abandon their own White House dreams.

Romney received the blessing of powerful Republicans past — former President George H.W. Bush — and present - popular Florida Senator Marco Rubio — in a 24-hour span, further signaling that the GOP establishment wants the grueling primary process to end.

Romney even met with opponent Newt Gingrich over the weekend in New Orleans to ask for his support, but no deal was brokered, advisors to both men told NBC News.

Gingrich has vowed to stay in the race until the GOP convention in Tampa, but money woes have forced him to trim his staff and travel plans.

Even Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who has largely bankrolled the ex-Speaker’s Super PAC, said Gingrich has reached “the end of his line.”

Romney has lost his mind for thinking Newt would cut a deal with him after his filthly tactics he pulled on Newt Gingrich beginning in Iowa. This nomination belonged to Newt Gingrich, not Romney!

See ya in Tampa, Romney!

GO NEWT!

Well, Romney better make some concessions or compromises with the Right if he wants their full support—like “global warming” and the EPA—the Tea Party and conservatives in congress must let him know that they will never confirm a liberal activist to SCOTUS. He will need their support if he hopes to get anything done. We will not take any double-crossers sitting down.

From what I heard today, Romney doesn’t plan on making any concessions. Someone in his campaign said that the plan is to claim that Romney was right all along on healthcare, that the state mandate is the correct way to go.

A help for Romney supporters. You vote for a person who is for abortion, you have cooperated with his or her evil.

It is a mortal sin on your soul. How many of these Romney, in his own words to you have to view to realize?

This is the reason you hear don’t mix religion and politics.
An excuse.

Bwahaahaaaaa!!!!! We don’t “hate” Romney because he’s a mormon, we despise his silly moderate/leftist policies.

If we’re stuck with him, not voting for Romney means you’re voting for obama!

No, it doesn't. If there are two types of pie up for election, one apple and the other cherry, and I write in pineapple, I have not magically given my vote to apple or cherry. My vote will remain pineapple.

Let's try it this way. If I lived in a whorehouse am I a slut?

Now do you see the problem?

There is no way I can vote Romney and live with myself.

Are you sure you’re replying to the right person? I’m not advocating voting for Romney - I’m advocating avoiding voting for him, in the primary and the general.

So, Obama in 2012, SHTF, some hardship (be ready), and finally the long-awaited correction.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Forgive my ignorance, but I don’t know what SHTF is. But, as far as “hardship” and “long-awaited correction”..... This nation will deserve what it gets. The Elite want Romney and this nation wants Obama, then let them suffer. My home and acreage is paid for, my vehicles are paid for and we will always be able to eat, because, I have a garden that we are expanding even larger. So, let “hardship” and “correction” come; I’m good. AMERICA, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!!!

Just a helpful tidbit for you re: your posts: When you "quote" the person you are replying to, you need to put their statement in italics by starting it with this and closing it with this . Or just type it in and separate it with a line between their statement and your comment; which is what I usually do. When I read your post #48, I couldn't tell which side you were taking. Just trying to be helpful. And, I am in agreement with you btw. no dems

That statement cause you to lose credibility. Now, I'm not a Romney supporter but, this is political hype at its best; or worst. Your source is either a liar, naive, or needs to lay down the crack pipe. This is silly and it's hard for any reasonable person to believe stuff like this. Can we just stay factual and honorable; not smear merchants like the DemocRATS.

I actually heard that statement several times yesterday, by various people. I wanted to throw something at the radio each time.

They claimed that the overturning of the federal mandate was good for Romney because it proved he was right all along, that the state mandate was the way to go with health care.

Have you heard Romney say anything different than that? I would feel a whole lot better about Romney if you could provide some quotes.

O.K., now that you put it that way, it makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.
