When news broke that Katie Couric will be filling in for Robin Roberts next week on ABC's "Good Morning America," the country yawned. Or, at least we did, until we learned that NBC plans to pit "The Rogue Warrior" against "The Perky One": Sarah Palin will be guest-hosting "Today" this Tuesday.
[....]
"I see this as a good opportunity to bring an independent, common-sense conservative perspective to NBC. Were 'going rogue' and infiltrating some turf for a day, Palin told Breitbart News.
When Breitbart News asked for a comment about the fact that she will be competing with Couric, Gov. Palin responded simply: "Game on."

i may dvr it....
She should be fighting Romney for the nomination.
Instead she’ll be in a one-day ratings war against Couric.
What a come-down.
What a let-down.
What a disappointing end to such promise of true greatness.
-- ancient Klingon proverb
Katie can drop a deuce from her house.
April Fools?
If you look at it that way, I'm not. Just enjoy the warrior and ignore the beast. The media ALWAYS enjoys causing strife. f'm.
This sounds strange since she is under exclusive contract to Fox.
April fool?
The only Rogue Warrior I know of is Richard Marcinko.
I hope Sarah pummels Couric in the ratings, and then laughs all the way home.
Neat! Going right into the belly of the beast... NBC.
Haven’t watched a single second of the “Today Show” in over two decades, but I’ll be tuning in this Tuesday.
CluelessKate, doesn’t know the way to the women’s room. Obviously, she needs to be ‘potty’ trained - she’ll drop her s**^ anywhere.
That’s weird: I’ve been told, repeatedly, that she is a washed-up has-been, that her “15 minutes of fame” are over, that she’s a ditzy, brainless, whack-job rethuglican wing-nut. Why would the esteemed NBC network even let her into their office building?
My brain hurts!
It's been a longer timespan for me. Is J. Fred Muggs still featured on that program?
Love it!
Fascinating.
Wouldn’t it be interesting, if the inevitable massive spike in the Today show’s ratings that day simply because Palin is guest hosting, were to land Palin a permanent spot on that chair?
Stranger things have happened.
I mean, there’s at least one rational bean counter at NBC making responsible business decisions, isn’t there?
NBC could score a huge new audience overnight.
Meanwhile effectively re-introducing actual journalism into our so-called media for the first time in the last two decades?
It is to dream.
I’d start watching an actual network news show again.
I never watch a network “news” show - because it’s all just vapid propaganda.
I’m a news hound. By all rights I should be a voracious consumer of news. But the leftist CRAP just turns me away. I can’t even watch for more than 5 minutes, on any network, before the gag reflex kicks in and I grab the remote.
How nice it would be, to have an actual network show to watch. To schedule. To become a loyal viewer of.
NBC are you listening??
I watched a presidential debate on the hostile-to-conservatives channel, but that’s the extent of my viewing of any programming on NBC ever since Couric attemped to sabotage Palin when she was a VP candidate. For that reason, Couric epitomizes sleezy journalism. NBC (and its roster of liberal activist blowhard/haters, especially Sharpton) makes Globe newstand magazine look classy.
I’ll have every set in my home tuned in to a show I never watched, until this Tuesday.
What a come-down.
What a let-down.
What a disappointing end to such promise of true greatness.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Someone needs to call a “Waaaaaaamulance!!!”
She that Sam, watch him spam, he is the drama queen!!!!
Couric knows this shooting range better than Palin...
And the video and audio crew will be in Courics corner..
Not a wise contest..
Palin has too much class and charm.. Couric has none..
Looks like a trap...
That was my first thought. Would the Brietbart folks do something like that? If so, would Sarah be in on the Joke?
;>
I don’t think it’s an April Fools joke.
Here’s a link to the NBC story saying Palin will be (co-) hosting, and it was posted 6 hours ago.
http://allday.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/31/10959821-next-week-on-today-secret-legend-to-visit-sarah-palin-to-co-host
Even in NYC, it wasn’t April 1st 6 hours ago. Not even now.
The story goes on to refer to that show Palin’s reported to be co-hosting as: “next week”.
If described from the viewpoint of Sunday, April 1st that Tuesday would not be next week. It would be this week.
Either the Palin hosting Today show Tuesday story is legitimate, or this is a rather lame, corrupt April Fools attempt, cheating on the date.
Seem true.
Hmm, DVR shows Today show on Tuesday has scheduled Bill and Giuliana Rancic and Stedman Graham as guests, no mention of a co-host...
just set my DVR
Nice legs.
Too bad about her brains !
I look at this as an investment in her political future. By appearing in enemy territory, not just NBC, she is trying to win as many friends (future voters) as she possibly can.
Unlike Obama who marks a dividing line between his followers and his enemies-Palin sees her enemies as future friends. Foresight is the mark of a real leader.
Will be interesting to see the number of viewers who watch FOX during the same time slot that Sarah is on the TODAY show. Haven’t watched them for a while now either so don’t remember who it is.
Note to Sarah: Punch that little biotch right in the kisser!
$16T in nation crushing debt, Iran will have a N-bomb by the end of the year, the Muslim brotherhood is consolidating their power in the Mideast...oh wait something shiny!!!!! .....
Ah grasshopper, perhaps your eyes merely do not appreciate the reverse cowgirl standing bow pose when they gaze upon it.
obligatory :-)
Why would the esteemed NBC network even let her into their office building?...So when Zimmerman sues them for the fallacious reporting on the 911 tapes, the can say “Palin did it.”?

nbc-bs needs to bump their ratings, especially after smearing Zimmerman for being a racist after editing out the dispatcher’s question asking him what was Martin’s race!

“Nice legs.”
Same posture as that OWS dude taking a dump on the NYC cop car! HAW (Sorry, I bad!)

I got to thinking that even if this isn’t an April’s Fool case, wouldn’t it be sweet if she shun’s nbc-bs on Tuesday PM and pulls a “no show”, doing Hannity and Greta instead??
(Maybe I’m more vengeful than she is, but it would certainly be fun to watch them scrambling around in a last miute panic!!)
JC
“miute” = “minute”

Is there a bottle of San Miguel with a stack of pesos on it just outside the frame?
Agreed. Someone like her is rare.
Well, we've still got...uh...er...um...
Yikes! I remember that place!
I may be cynical, but that’s my guess as to why Roger blessed this appearance: if NBC gives her a regular gig she’ll be sidelined from politics.
"What most people don't know is that NBC is still a network."
Imagine if Palin announces she’s running for President?
Anybody notice how Sarah says: “Game On” just like Santorum did when he did well in one of the races?
Anyway, ghis should be a really interesting interview. Palin won’t trust Couric as much as she did in the last interview. Palin was told (by a woman in the McCain camp) that Katie Couric admired Palin, yeah riiiiiiight.
She is not on with Katie, they are on competeing networks. It is a ratings war. Oh- and Palin said Game On way back in Wisconsin Tea Party Rally. Way before Santorum.
Actually, I noticed how everyone and their sister Sally, including Santorum, has been saying “Game On” SINCE Sarah Palin exclaimed it in the snow in Madison, Wisconsin during a speech in April 2011.
I believe the exact quote was:
“Mr. President, Game on!”
It was right after she asked if some GOP men should be taught how to “fight like a girl!”
Did you notice that?
Thank you.
I didn’t notice that, but it’s a good little phrase - “Game on!”
