Chelsea Clinton, Sandra Fluke Unite Over Rush Limbaugh Attacks

Rush Limbaugh was uncharacteristically quiet today after Chelsea Clinton recounted how the conservative talk show host appeared to make fun her looks by comparing her to a dog when she was 13-years-old.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, however, had harsh word for Limbaugh when reminded of the incident saying, “We’re better than that.”

Chelsea Clinton spoke last week about Limbaugh’s comments while on a panel about women involved in politics. The former first daughter made the comments while defending Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke who had been ridiculed last month by Limbaugh as a “slut” and a “prostitute” for testifying before Congress in support of a government mandate requiring health insurance to cover contraception.

“She and I actually have something in common,” Chelsea Clinton said. “We’ve both have been attacked by Rush Limbaugh.”

“She was 30. I was 13,” she added.

When her dad, former President Bill Clinton, was in the White House and Limbaugh was on television as well as radio, the conservative commentator had this to say about the teenage girl living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. back in 1993:

“Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is also a White House dog?” Limbaugh said on his television show before showing an image of the young Clinton.

“Thankfully I had grown up in public life and knew that having thick skin was a survival skill,” Chelsea Clinton said after recounting the incident. “I do also believe if you have the right type of enemies you’re doing something correct.”

I was wondering if that happened too. I have no idea but it would be a pretty foolish thing for someone in the public eye to say (unless they are a liberal talking about a conservative child, that is considered perfectly OK).

They also share a history of extensive surgery ~

I know that Chelsea has undergone an emergency face restructuring at MAACO. Obviously, she should get her money back. The more they do, the more she looks like her father, Webster Hubble . . . and sometimes, like Howdy Doody.

And her lying mother, who said she's done with politics, didn't get the extensive bondo and putty face works just to sit on Janet Rino's lap when she "retires."

10 - 1 odds we'll see the Hilderbeast on the ticket with Nobambi. Biden's through. And if Hitlery gets on the ticket playing 2nd fiddle to the illegal alien, the illegal alien better hire a food taster and a full metal jacket. Ever hear of Vince Foster?

I remember seeing Al Franken on C-SPAN during the 90s, he said he regretted going after Chelsea Clinton on Saturday Night Live, the NBC show.

I don’t watch Saturday Night Live very often, I have no memory of such a skit, but I do remember Al Franken on C-Span saying he regretted going after her.

Do any Freepers remember a Saturday Night Live skit from the early 90s regarding Chelsea Clinton?

It didn’t happen. That phony version of events was concocted by columnist Molly ivins back on 1993. It’s long since been taken as an article of faith by those on the left. Here’s what really happened:

You two females—I will not say “ladies”—seem not to realize that your fifteen minutes is OVER. You were last month. Move along. We’ve lost interest. Now we’re talking about Charlotte and Jonathan.

“Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is also a White House dog?” Limbaugh said on his television show before showing an image of the young Clinton.

I'd expect this account from the spirochete-ravaged brain of her father, but this never happened.

What did happen was this, from From Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters.org on RedState:
On his TV show in 1992, a few days after the Presidential election, Rush Limbaugh was reviewing In/Out lists (a popular fad at the time):

In today’s New York Daily News right here… it’s the obligatory in-out list. Every time there’s a massive change somewhere, people are in, people are out. I’m now out. It says about me on here, Rush Limbaugh, loud-mouthed conservative and Bush favorite. He’s out.

Rush commented that most of the other things on the days’ list were not funny, but that “one of them in particular” was. Rush quoted from the David Hinckley article

“In: A cute kid in the White House. Out: Cute dog in the White House.”

Could– could we see the cute kid? Let’s take a look at– see who is the cute kid in the White House.

A picture of the “cute dog” (Millie) appeared on the screen instead of the “cute kid” (Chelsea).

Rush immediately said

No, no, no. That’s not the kid.

Then a picture of Chelsea Clinton came on the screen and Rush said

That’s– that’s the kid.

Rush apologized several times and told a story about how he had learned early in his career the importance of not making fun of someone’s appearance.

I think Rush once said that the only time he’d spoken to Hillary was when they were once upon a time at the same event, and all he did was apologize for his show’s treatment of Chelsea.

Rush had some important things to talk about today.

Why should he give press to two totally unimportant liberal women?

I was wondering that myself. I believe that if Rush had actually said that, it would have been news and I would have remembered it. Until someone gives better evidence than the word of a Clinton, it is just a rumor.

An image not requiring contraception!

I think it’s a pulled or erased thread/ user account banned or suspended; I’m not sure which of them it is. But it’s a funny term.
