I know DC is voting 6,200 voted in 2008 primary and McCain won 68 to Huckabee 16, Paul 8, and Romney had 6. You can vote for Newt or Ron Paul if you don't want to vote for Romney, Santorum is not on the DC ballot today

Yeppers, split the Conservative vote. Gee, wonder who wins on that one?

I’ll be voting for Rick in about an hour. He is not perfect but he is the only candidate with any chance of beating Romney or taking large numbers of delegates away from him. Newt has basically quit the race letting go of 1/3 of his staff. Even if people think Newt is better, he is not even competing anymore! Newt remaining in the race only divides the conservative vote. He needs to stop having secret meetings with Romney and start working with Rick.

Santo is the cause of this. If he would have gotten out and not split the vote earlier on after South Carolina, it would have been a two man race.

Seriously? I don't buy that anyone actually believes that. Santorum is the ONLY reason that Romney's not already crowned.

And he needs WI to continue to block Romney.

Actually, Newt more or less unofficially endorsed Mitt Romney yesterday while he was in Maryland and is hoping that Mitt Romney would adopt his Gingrich platform.... however ? there was a secret meeting between the two just before LA, and it's not beyond the stretch that Newt offered Romney his endorsement if Romney were to pay off his debt.
Newt is selling himself to the highest bidder... sold out his supporters.

It is truly amazing isn’t it? Some of us just refuse to accept that we’re in the minority in this country. I would probably consider myself a minority based on my religious beliefs and affiliation more than anything. These days I think that group is to the Republican party as blacks are to the Democrat party. The Republicans know we don’t have anywhere else to go, so we’ll be getting Romney type candidates forever. They’re telling us it’s time to shut up and move to the back of the bus. With Romney, we’re back to Bush term #3 - a better managed decline.

He is one of the main reasons. Santo supporters are saying ONLY Newt is splitting the conservative vote. But they forget Santorum and many otheres were doing it earlier on. You all should have gotten behind Newt when he was up 30%. But Newt wasn’t a true conservative to you and now you are stuck with Romney. Thank you very very much.

"I will NOT vote for Santorum, no matter if he is on the ballot or not." I won't either unless he makes a deal very quickly with Newt which of course he won't because it is all about Santo's ego. Santo doesn't care if Romney is the nominee away as he said he was a true conservative. This is all about Santo and future elections for Santo.

This Marylander voted for Newt last week (as well as all of Newt's delegates, 2 alternates - 1 Perry delegate since only 2 alternates for Newt on the ballot).

It felt GOOD to be able to vote for whom I wanted, unlike 2008 when only McCain and Romney were on the MD ballot).

FINE.

And neither will an overwhelming majority of LIBERALS, COMMUNISTS, ATHEISTS and HOMOSEXUALS.

Have fun with your company, friend. You are one vote anyway. Don't much matter here nor there anywho.....

Rick Santorum...and his wonderful family, especially Karen, his wife have graciously, intelligently, honestly pursued a genuine love for this country and have been in the running 24/7 since June of last year.

They are one of the finest examples of who we SHOULD have in our White House that I have seen in a long time.

The fact that these good, Godly people continue to smile graciously and admit to praying for those who say things against them...

...are a testament to their character!!

..if ANY of you had to wade through daily onslaughts of ridicule, hate and ugliness from the media and here at Free Republic I don't think you would last a day!

...and yet many of you gleefully wake up each morning and can't wait to attack the Santorums from your keyboard

I have been sadly surprised and achingly disappointed in many here who I had thought 'conservative'....

For many years I have thought Freepers 'like minded' in conservatism and goals....

...but having waded through cesspools of posters' vulgarity, innuendo, ridicule against the ONE conservative left standing.........RICK SANTORUM

I realize I was not only mistaken.....but very naive.

I thought belonging to this site automatically meant going towards the same goal, even as an independent, libertarian or conservative.

I am ashamed of certain people on this site who go for blood each and every day.

We are standing at the brink!!!.... a moment in time when we COULD turn this nation around for good, for glory... again....

I pray Sovereign God will honor the efforts of those working toward this.

His will be done.

I got behind Newt as did many others until he fell flat on his face. Once the writing was on the wall, I went with Santorum to stop Romney. You should do the same.

Already to be coronated RINO ROMNEY is retreating from his earlier, most hard line position on ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. He took a page from John McCain's book in 2008. Run to the extreme right on this especially in South Carolina, etc. until away from those early primaries, in a safe zone, they slowly extract oneself from the previous positions. NUMBERS USA should be apoplectic and downgrade his "report card" NOW! Tactic is: Reduce and then stop giving speeches mentioning it, revise website statements, and gradually work up to the pandering speech to La Raza for the General where "regularization" will be offered as a solution to the problem. Anyone who has Immigration as a top issue and did not see this Etch A Sketch Reboot coming has less marbles that I would imagine they would have. Not to smart. Folks need to cast votes for Santorum today in those three elections to slow this Mitt down and embarrass him and the MSM and GOP elite, particularly in Wisconsin. Do not get fatigued!! Now is the time to get a second wind and tell the GOP-e to shove it, that it is not inevitable. They wanted to wear down our will. Rick is campaigning tirelessly against Rommey. The least we could do is cast a vote, make a call remotely, or send in some cash for the May battles.
