WASHINGTON — President Obama opened a full-frontal assault Tuesday on the budget adopted by House Republicans, condemning it as a “Trojan horse” and “thinly veiled social Darwinism” that would greatly deepen inequality in the country.
Mr. Obama’s attack, in a speech during a lunch with editors and reporters from The Associated Press, was part of a broader indictment of the Republican economic blueprint for the nation. The Republican budget, and the philosophy it represents, he said in remarks prepared for delivery, is “antithetical to our entire history as a land of opportunity and upward mobility for everyone who’s willing to work for it.”
With Republicans beginning to coalesce around Mitt Romney as the party’s likely presidential nominee, Mr. Obama is sharpening his political message for the election — one that draws a stark contrast between his and Mr. Romney’s visions for the country, and flatly rejects the Reagan-era mantra of trickle-down prosperity.
In the latest of a series of combative speeches, the president said Americans could not afford to elect a Republican president at a time of fragile economic recovery, with a weak job market and a crushing national debt from “two wars, two massive tax cuts and an unprecedented financial crisis.”
The widening gulf between the rich and everyone else, Mr. Obama said, was hobbling the country’s economic growth. He cited studies that found that societies with less income inequality had stronger and steadier growth.
“In this country, broad-based prosperity has never trickled down from the success of a wealthy few,” the president said, according to excerpts of his address. “It has always come from the success of a strong and growing middle class. That’s how a generation who went to college on the G.I. Bill, including my grandfather, helped build the most prosperous economy

Obama, like most foolish Socialists, embraces the concept of trickle-down misery. In their view, a just and equal society is one where everybody is equally miserable and nobody can get ahead (except for the government master class, which is free to loot at will).

Your basic hard core Commie - they reject Darwin in favor of a Lamarkian mechanism - where people striving and suffering under Communism shape the next generation to be ‘Homo Communista’ - the new Communist man - who doesn't desire to have a better looking wife and a nicer home than his fellow men. But the big problem with a Lamarkian mechanism is that, much like Communism, it doesn't work.

Forget the "thinly veiled" part - let's have it, full-on, straight-up! I am sick and tired of busting my {expletive} to support my family only to have a significant percentage of my income confiscated by a fascist/socialist government and redistributed to those that are too lazy to work, too lazy to improve themselves and their lot. There is a huge under-class of people out there quite willing to settle for a lifestyle at whatever level the government will support them at, augmented by whatever illegal enterprises they can get away with.
Enough! I work to enjoy the fruits of my labor, not to support some great socialist experiment. If I support someone down on their luck, in need of a hand up (not a hand out) it should be my choice to expend my resources (time, money, etc.). Not the governments choice to confiscate my resources and expend how they see fit! Never! You want my help, show me how you're getting out of your situation, not just getting by on whatever you can beg/borrow/steal from me via the government.
So yeah, let's have some social Darwinism. Let those who care so little for themselves fall, those who heed the wakeup call can work like the rest of us.

Obama’s welfare state has turned helping someone into money as a drug. When his LACK of Budget finally hits the fan, just who is going to get hurt the worst? Those who earn their living with the work of thier hands or those who depend on a check from the state, that now will not cash?

Henry Ford created more personal prosperity in one year than every socialist politician has in the history of mankind. But then, “broad-based prosperity has never trickled down”... from theft at the hands of a powerful government. And beware: “Social Darwinism” is Progressive code for “we’re about to rob you blind”.
