~Favorite "Flower" Songs~
*Killswitch Engage - Rose Of Sharyn*
Now we're broken, here I stand alone Wondering what were the last words I said to you Hoping, praying that I'll find a way to turn back time, can I turn back time
What would I give to behold The smile, the face of love You never left me The Rising sun Will always speak your name
Now were broken, here I stand alone Wondering what were the last words I said to you It won't be long, we'll meet again
What would I give to behold The smile, the face of love You never left me The rising sun Will always speak your name
It won't be long, we'll meet again Your memory is never passing It won't be long, we'll meet again My love for you is everlasting
I mourn for those who never knew you I mourn for those who never knew you
It won't be long, we'll meet again Your memory is never passing It won't be long, we'll meet again My love for you is everlasting

*Jud Strunk - Daisy A Day*
He remembers the first time he met er He remembers the first thing she said He remembers the first time he held her And the night that she came to his bed
He remembers her sweet way of sayin Honey has somethin gone wrong He remembers the fun and the teasin And the reason he wrote er this song
Ill give you a daisy a day, dear Ill give you a daisy a day Ill love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away
They would walk down the street in the evenin And for years I would see them go by And their love that was more than the clothes that they wore r Could be seen in the gleam of their eyes
As a kid they would take me for candy And I loved to go taggin along Wed hold hands while we walked to the corner And the old man would sing er his song
Ill give you a daisy a day, dear Ill give you a daisy a day Ill love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away
Now he walks down the street in the evenin And he stops by the old candy store And I somehow believe hes believin Hes holdin er hand like before
For he feels all her love walkin with him And he smiles at the things she might say Then the old man walks up to the hilltop And gives her a daisy a day
Ill give you a daisy a day, dear Ill give you a daisy a day Ill love you until the rivers run still And the four winds we know blow away

*Carmen "Flower Song" - Placido Domingo*
In prison I kept lovingly The flower you had thrown at me. Though it had faded and turned dry, It still smelled sweet as time went by; And I would put that special flower On my closed eyes, hour after hour. Drunk with that fragrance, I felt light, And there I saw you in the night! At times I would begin to hate you, To curse you and to execrate you, To say: why did it have to be That fate brought her so close to me! Then I thought that faith had defied me, And I only felt deep inside me, I only felt but one desire, But one desire, one hope, one yen, To see you, Carmen, yes, see you again! For all you needed was to be there, To throw a fleeting glance my way, To have full mastery of me there, Oh, Carmen, dear! And all you did with me was play! Carmen, I love you!

No Greater Love
April 6, 2012
Bill and his wife were driving through the Rocky Mountains when a near-miss with a truck caused their car to swerve off the road and plunge into the Colorado River. After scrambling out of their sinking vehicle, they frantically treaded water in the swift current. A truckdriver, who had seen the accident, ran ahead along the shore and threw a rope to them. Bill swam behind his wife and pushed her to where she could grab the ropeand the man pulled her out. Bill, however, was carried downstream and didnt survive. He had given his life for the woman he loved.
To give your life so another person can live is the ultimate proof of love. During the night that Jesus was betrayed, He told His disciples of His intention to give His life in exchange for mankind. He told them: Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones life for his friends (John 15:13). And then He set the ultimate example of self-sacrifice by going to the cross.
Have you ever given any thought to the fact that Jesus did that for youthat He died in your place? In so doing, He not only proved His love for you, but He also made it possible for you to be forgiven of your sins and to have an eternal home in heaven.
He who gave Himself to save me,
Now will keep me to the end;
In His care securely resting
On His promise I depend. Bosch
Christs sacrifice was what God desired and our sin required.
Read: John 15:1-13

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Here's a couple:
Ramblin' Rose and Eleven Roses.
I guess you noticed there is only eleven roses
I chose them from our garden where they grew
Take the roses and look into the mirror
And the twelfth rose will be looking back at you
