This is impossible. Chicago has gun control. Can the authors be sure this isn’t about Huston, or even Burlington, VT where people don’t even need a permit to carry concealed handguns in public?
When will they learn that the second amendment and their love only kills people and ban the damn things like the blue states do so we can stop all this death and carnage?

Headline says “across the city.” Well, yes. But we who know the city understand that all incidents took place in minority neighborhoods, Black and one (Logan Square)Hispanic.
I notice that a racial description is omitted for both the victims and the savages that attacked them. Is that because such a description is redundant?
BTW, I do have a solution in mind for Chicago to solve this problem. They need to institute strict gun control: hand out free guns to all sober and law-abiding citizens that want one and train them in self-defense.

Meh, this is just black people killing black people. Not a media narrative the press would be interested in spending much time with. This coverage of this carnage will remain local and the focus will be on how terrible guns are.

families and kids will start buying and walking around with
bullet proof vests helmets and backpacks provided free of charge by taxpayers and homes will be designed with steel walls.
each students desk will be encased with a bulletproof glass to provide safety from school shootings.
then all employers will provide bulletproof encasement to all cubicles.
this will all be paid for by big gun taxes.
