To hell with the GOP-e. Barring a miracle, they got their big government, unconstitutional mandate loving, socialist abortionist Obama-lite RINO on the ballot, they can now get him elected.

We are the resistance!!

Shove him down our throats today, we shove him up your donkeys in November!!

I can see November from my house!!

I don’t agree with you that a Conservative party would lose. I adamantly believe that the conservative message resonates with the US middle class voters.

No, not everyone is a conservative, but huge numbers of people are disgusted with being strip searched by the TSA, with having their children suspended for drawing a gun, with having to hear 8 foreign languages spoken at work, with having their school children indoctrinated in homosexuality, with paying high gas prices, with having the EPA restrict their lives, with having to support bums and slakers, with being overtaxed and getting avery poor value for their taxes.

I could go on with 200 more examples and I’m a lousy orator. The ammunition is all there.

A conservative party would do exceptionally well as long as they toned down the abortion debate and stayed no topic with economic issues and core traditional values. The various Tea Party groups do this so astoundingly well, they mobilize conservatives while not discouraging moderates.

The conservative message is a great message. It is a proven winner. But the idiot GOP RINO leaders are too cowardly to try it.

Therefore, we need a conservative party. It would take off like wildfire if it was truly conservative and not initially corrupted (everything becomes corrupt eventually).

Aside from that, we seem to not want to see that Romney is running on a completey conservative platform.

FYI, “OP” stands for original poster. The original poster of this thread was Jim Robinson, owner extraordinaire of FRee Republic.

Were you referring to Jim, or to centurion316?

That's funny because that's probably what Romney will do

The reason I don't buy that is because romney will not have a mandate to govern from the left. If you look at the exit polls, he has won conservative, tea party support and "anybody but obama support. He knows the country wants an alternative to obama and if he's going to beat him, he has to run to the right. The people can keep him in check for four years and primary him if necessary. There's no keeping obama in check. Romney will buy us time.

Is there any reason to believe that his “current” platform is worth even the price of an Etch-A-Sketch?

And wasn’t written with one?

“They better hope they can elect the Flipper with out the conservative base, cause I don’t think they can.”

That is the worst case scenario. If that happens, Romney will pull what Lisa Murkowski has in Alaska. He won’t even throw a bone to conservatives.

That might have flown up in Alaska. But it won’t fly in the south. Mittens is going to need the sound because the election for president is not about the popular vote.

Mittens won’t win. I won’t vote for him and millions more feel the same way.

The polls of Republicans showed they did NOT want Palin to get in the race, back at the time of her bus tour and the Iowa straw poll. I believe I’ve seen recent polls which now suggest that she has gone back up in popularity. The voters were afraid of her getting slammed by the media and thought they could find a White Knight who everyone in the world would love. I hope everybody’s learned that the media will destroy any Republican for any reason they can, be it true or false. The ironic thing is that if Palin had gone up against Romney in the primaries, his tactics of attacking probably would have backfired dramatically. He might not even have dared try them. So she would have been almost uniquely qualified among all these primary candidates to have survived the Romney machine.

Bottom line is, I don’t think she felt she was ready. She spent a lot of time on her media career, deservedly so, through last year but didn’t seem to increase her depth on policy and government. I’ve seen a big change in her in the last 6 months. I think when faced with the prospect of running, and subsequently in watching the debates, she realized the kind of ammo she would have to have to survive a primary campaign. I think she decided she didn’t have it yet but is now making a concerted effort to build up that kind of factual and rhetorical ammunition for next time. I don’t think she realistically could have entered her celebrity career and groomed herself for office at the same time, and she understandably made a decision to cash in on the 15 minutes of fame before they were up. I think voters also probably prefer to see more than a 4-year-gap after an election loss before someone tries to run the same race again.

Romney IS Obama. He will say whatever he has to, when he has to, to get what he wants. Romney has no idea what the truth is.

I am still convinced Romney will win, and he doesn’t need the vote of the far right such as us Freepers. The middle class is furious over unemployment, food and gas inflation, and soaring medical costs. They want Obama out and somebody else in to take a stab at the economy.

Obama is toast. The people, in their infinite stupidity and knee jerk frustration, will vote “anybody but Obama”. This is what they did in the last eletion. They said, “Bush screwed us so vote Democrate”. This year it will be “Obama screwed us, try Republican again.”

The middle class is desperate and furius. Obama is toast. Romney will be president. He doesn’t even need our measly Freeper votes.

Voting for Mittens is the same as telling the libs that they’ve won and we are beaten.

Wanna scare a lib? Reject Mittens.

This is about the war, not the battle. If Mittens gets our vote the lefties know they’ve won the war. Vote for Mittens and we are done!!

Quote Link “In the wake of the devastating Detroit riots of the summer of 1967, Michigan Gov. George Romney, a liberal Republican, met the radical organizer Saul Alinsky to discuss the grievances of the urban black poor,” he explained.

Photos of the meeting can be found in the archives of the Library of Congress.

Kaczynski noted that a book on George Romney quotes the former Michigan governor telling his allies, “I think you ought to listen to Alinsky.”

Political analyst and think-tank researcher Steve Baldwin believes that Mitt Romney was definitely impacted by his father’s association with Alinsky.

I didn’t care who was behind Rick, this site or Rush/Levin I’d NEVER support a LIAR! You have a ‘pack mentality’! You sound more like a liberal with blaming Jim/FR for this outcome like someone HAS to be a fault and not lying weak Rick. Not everyone are drawn towards liars or weak candidates.

Goose-stepping to the polls is wrong. I don’t care what color your jack-boots are. It’s just wrong.

Well, sir, you can vote for whomever you want! Your prerogative! But, a vote for a third party or a write-in is the same as a vote FOR Bowbama! Your choice...

I'm done with the GOP and that silly voting thing. My children will understand.

Romney will do nothing to stop the Gay Agenda, in fact, he will promote it.

Romney will not give you any justices that are conservative.

Romney will not cut the size of the government.

Romney will not back Iran down

Romney will not be a strong proponent for drilling

Romney will not be a Pro-Life President

Romney believes in Global Warming

Romney implemented RomneyCare and refuses to back off of the Individual Mandate

Romney implemented a regional Cap-And-Trade Carbon system so he will do nothing to reign in the EPA.

In short, Romney is a whiter shade of Obama, both in skin-color and his policies.

Romney is the 2nd Cousin lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal to Obama, the Crypto Communist.

Add to that every other word out of his mouth is a Lie and you cannot trust a words he says, and that makes him totally unqualified to be President.
