snarkytart, I am not saying you are wrong. You are right in saying the prosecutor represents the law. Absolutely. But please read my above post. In addition to representing the law....please know I am not saying your interpretation is not accurate..it just needs to go one step further. And again, it is not just this prosecutor, it is all.

She decided that Martin was indeed the victim when she was praying with his family right off the bat. That is wrong, period. She needed to conduct a fair investigation.

He is the “victim” legally. It is exactly what the law deems him. And she prays with all families from what I understand. It does not mean she is not fair. Though the indictment alone tells you she believes in this case and that she can prove it. That is a good thing. You do not want a prosecutor indicting someone on charges they do not believe in. It is not fair to the one charged, the victim’s family or the taxpayers because of the resources.

First they say there’s no reason to prosecute Zimmerman, and then they prosecute him for second degree murder. Says a lot for the prosecutors, don’t you think?

All of us taxpeasants are George Zimmerman. It just depends on when Obama's Fascist Police State decides we need to be arrested...

I glad you believe that.

Me, this reeks of politics and a politically-motivated prosecution.

Why?

Easy.

Where is the prosecution of the NBP for their bounty on Zimmerman’s life?

The fact she is NOT going after them is all we need know to prove she is intimidated scared and gutless. If she was anything but, she would being going after them at the same time she was going after Zimmerman.

IMHO, even Ray Charles can see she is pandering to mollify the mobs and thugs with the flaming torches and pitchforks.

Zman should have left the country post haste.

Now there may be no trial and he may be found to have died in his cell of unknown causes...??

Didnt someone say once “It is expedient that one man must die to save the nation”

Based upon what we know, please tell me how she can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the three elements of the crime:

“In order to convict a defendant in Florida of Second-degree murder, the State of Florida must prove the following three elements beyond a reasonable doubt:

The victim is dead;
The death was caused by the criminal act of the defendant;
There was an unlawful killing of the victim by an act imminently dangerous to another and demonstrating a depraved mind without regard for human life.”

Thanks.

Not knowing all the facts

'bout the only facts we don't know are those involving the results from the medical examiner and CSI types. Was it a contact or near contact shot, and was the trajectory upward and from front to back as it should be to match Zimmerman's and eye witness's statements. A 9mm at close range will really make a mess.

I do believe it, Hulka. I agree with you re: the black panthers. Is it against the law? If not, it certainly should be. If it is, why have they not arrested them? What state were they in when they offered the bounty? I have no idea if they were in Fla...If she did not believe she could prove this case to a jury, if she did not believe the evidence will prove the charges are warranted, no way would she have indicted. Just my opinion.

What am I wrong about? I'm not taking any position on Zimmerman's guilt or innocence. I'm simply stating that the act of shooting someone, without justification, is murder (or manslaughter, depending on the state and the shooter's state of mind).

Who disagrees with that? Is anyone arguing that, even if Zimmerman was not acting in self-defense, he did not commit any crime?

That’s not what you were saying and you know it. Don’t try to play stupid lawyer games with me, I’ve been married to a lawyer for 22 years and I know all the tricks. Say one thing then try to argue you said something completely different.

On another note, if you are the conscience of a conservative, we are all in deep trouble.

The NBP bounty report: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xppvzl_new-black-panthers-offer-bounty-for-zimmerman-s-capture_news

Apparently they offered the bounty while they were in Sanford: In Sanford, Florida, the leader of the New Black Panther Party called for a $10,000 bounty for the man who allegedly shot and killed Trayvon Martin. (http://patriotupdate.com/20429/new-black-panthers-put-out-bounty-for-zimmerman-and-the-president-is-silent)

“The New Black Panther Party rallied in Sanford, Florida on March 24,. . .”

Issuing an explicit threat, “Wanted Dead or Alive” is certainly against the law. It is a call to murder Zimmerman. Clearly.

She has made no statement regarding the NBP and their threat.

I remain convinced she is bowing to political pressure and mob rule, especially when you look at the elements of the crime he is charged with.

>She well may off a plea bargain to aggravated manslaughter

The most Zimmerman should plea is discharge of a firearm or littering.

Well, we disagree about the prosecutor but agree when it comes to the black panthers. If it happened in Fla, they are certainly remiss in not arresting them before now. It should have been done immediately. Thank you for taking the time to do the research. I appreciate that.

The prosecutor bitch met with trayon’s family and prayed together for an indictment for murder two.

Even the most monumentally stupid judge would not allow this to go to trial.

If the Florida legislature had a modicum of common sense, they would impeach this whore attorney general and indict her for sedition.

No worries.

Nice to have a disagreement that doesn’t erupt into a flame war.

Appreciate it.

This is what needs asked by millions of Americans of the media and of the Dept of Justice? Why do we accept a double standard? Those who own and profit from the media do like the double standard where many Americans are exposed to the double standard of justice.

Why was this not covered? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2117695/Brutal-home-invasion-Oklahoma-couple-ends-65-year-romance-meeting-blind-date.html

I’m honestly not that surprised by this, nor am I particularly torn up about it. Zimmerman’s a Hispanic Democrat, and if his own kind won’t defend him I’m certainly not going to volunteer for it

He's an American, that's enough for me.
