Is an Obama dictatorship in the air?

SNIP

If polls indicate that Obama is going to win the upcoming election, no problem. He’ll keep flashing that fake Barry Obama grin until Nov. 7, then move swiftly to begin unleashing a dictatorial full monty – consisting of more regulations, higher taxes and less freedom – that will shock all but his staunchest Marxist allies.

Nothing will be off limits – a national police force, instant citizenship for all Third World people who want to come to America, forced equalization of income (except for Obama’s wealthy supporters), widespread use of tax audits to carry out vendettas against enemies of his administration, a virtual end to oil drilling, coal mining and gas exploration, suspension of habeas corpus, a new sedition act that will make it a crime to speak out against the government, the police, or the military … and much, much more.

On the other hand, two or three months before the election, if the polls clearly show that Obama is going to go down in defeat, I believe there’s better than a 50-50 chance of a major “emergency” coincidentally making its appearance, convincingly manufactured in such a way as to cause the average entitlement junkie to agree that we must rally around the president and “postpone” the November elections.

Americans who find it difficult to break free of their normalcy bias should think about F. A. Hayek’s explanation, in “The Road to Serfdom,” of how countries travel the road leading from democracy to dictatorship:

"Hitler did not have to destroy democracy; he merely took advantage of the decay of democracy and at the critical moment obtained the support of many to whom, though they detested Hitler, he yet seemed the only man strong enough to get things done."

And, Il Duce became Prime Minister in 1922 lasting ‘til 1945. Give the zero that time in office and see what he will become. He deserves Il Duce’s reward now, not after another 20+ years.

They seem incredibly naive to think that absolute control is a good thing. I can think of no one who I would allow to have such power.

Exactly. I wouldn't even trust myself with that kind of power. hussein I wouldn't trust with pocket change.

I agree completely. I will never vote for Romney, period. I am voting Constitution Party, especially if Virgil Goode is the nominee.

“Dictator Obama?”

Yes, Dictator is the word. You tried to change the subject; you must be an Obama apologist.

Look at all the Czars. Look at the daily power grabs. Look at HHS and the EPA and their actions.

Yes, Dictator.

You should show more fear; perhaps you’re just naive.

Given the percentage of FReepers unwilling to defeat Obama, his re-election and the destruction of America is all but certain.
They’d rather sit around here and explain how, based on past actions at the State level, they know with a certainty what Romney would or wouldn’t do in the White House.
They don’t give a damn about Obama’s desire to burn the house down, they’re more concerned that Romney won’t maintain it properly.

“It Can’t happen here” The dumbells that think that are in for a surprise. I have heard Obummer referring to democracy as “messy”. He also has referred to the US Constitution as “standing in his way”. I have heard many liberals recently say that our Constitution was written for another time, and written to benefit the “rich”. All patriotic American citizens better get with it while we still have a country.

Oh for cripes sake, can people give this a rest? Dictator Obama? Most he'd ever dictate is taking yet another month long vacation or yet another mid week party. He is the laziest pres(id)ent ever.

Obama may be lazy, but he is only the mannequin in the store front window of the dictatorial machine that uses him. That is why he can afford to constantly play, because it isn't him doing the "work" anyway. It is the powers behind him that are not to be taken lightly.

And seriously, who in Washington will cede their power to him? No one will.

Once the dictatorial machine is in place they will be inconsequential. It will not matter what they think or do. They may be the first to go. It is very educational about the subject to listen to these videos with Yuri Bezmenov, an ex KGB agent, who gives away the techniques of manipulating useful idiots. He explains that the useful idiots are often the first to be taken out when they are no longer "useful". These videos are a must for those who want to be informed about how the "communist" thugs plan takeovers of governments.

The military leadership will side with the President and not the Constitution. Since Carter there was a major push to require officers and now enlisted to have Bachelors and then Graduate Degrees to advance. Even though almost all of the degrees had nothing to do with military leadership. Thus the current senior military officers are not US Grant, George Patton or even Dwight Eisenhower. No, these Generals and Admirals are fully indoctrinated by the American University System in neo-Marxist PC feministic feel good nonsense (See Colin Powell). They neither have a original view of the Constitution or the will to defend it. No, when the time comes the active duty Senior Leadership WILL FOLLOW ORDERS, whether they are constitutional or not. As for the enlisted cannon fodder, they vast majority come from broken homes, and have been fully indoctrinated by the Public Skrewl Systems and their NEA masters, and have no true concept of traditional American values much less the Constitution. If you quizzed them probably 99% would think the words “Separation of Church and State” exists in the document. Hundreds of thousands of them have been traumatized by 10 years of multiple deployments where their ability to win has been hamstrung by idiotic ROEs, and as a result are now on psychotropic drugs to deal with their Post Traumatic Stress. A plurality if not an overwhelming majority WILL DO AS TOLD and believe any propaganda fed to them.

Maybe you should be having this conversation with the DgOPe, since they have delivered up this Hobsian choice for you. There is a long explanation for the choices we are given by those that are unseen and unknown to us, but they all work for the same master; The Prince and Power of the World.

Look at HHS and the EPA and their actions.

What? Carbon rules that were part of W's last budget? RomneyCareLite aka PelosiCare? Because Obama couldn't be bothered to lead that battle other than to occasionally whine in front of a camera, or summon people before him and tell them to do something about it?

Let's see - the president that established their own private domestic police force, enacting rules to effectively let them take over any other police force at their whim - Obama or W? The plan to use one of the most invasive search machines ever created - devices that aren't even allowed by courts in prisons to search for deadly weapons, instead commonly used on ordinary people supposedly picked at random - Obama or W?

How about an act that requires pawn shops or metals dealers to report any significant transaction to the federal government - Obama or W?

Hells bells, man, these are the types of legislation that get passed when you have liberals in charge. W was pretty alright, all things considered, but his first thought was hardly of the constitution when these brain dead ideas were brought to his mighty auto-signing pen. Obama can't lower himself to work with anyone because that requires leadership, something he's never going to develop as that takes work, and he does not work. I think he'll go down in history to be the only president to never actually sign off on a federal budget, because we've not had one while he's been in office. He can't even get a Democrat to vote FOR his budget, yet he's supposed to get all these people to stand aside while he becomes a dictator?

Put an end to the stupid scare tactics. The strawman is slain, and I will NEVER vote for Mitt Romney for president.

Obama is finishing the job of concentrating federal power that FDR started, and LBJ propagated.

Which all started under good ole Honest Abe tossing out states rights..

The military leadership will side with the President and not the Constitution.

Your statements are exactly opposite of my personal experience with three separate navy commands, two air force commands, and eight army commands. These general officers question orders, especially anything that seems to even come close to bending the constitution. If faced with a commander in chief who has divorced himself from the constitution, they will secure their positions then look to the next constitutional leader who has not detached themselves from the constitution.

As for the common soldier - you are likely right, they will believe the propaganda position that there is a written separation of church and state. But they will not blindly follow orders.

Lastly, as to your belief that they've been, as a whole, co-opted by the university system to be some sort of Marxist drones ignores the rigorous training regimes within the military itself. The military is overwhelmingly conservative. Among the officer corps, maybe one in ten are Democrats. It's more difficult to determine among flag officers, mostly because they refuse to participate in polling. Even among those who identify themselves as Democrat, most are blue dog Democrats who believe very strongly in traditional values.

It infuriates liberals that they can't get Rush off of military broadcasts, and in the few commands where they've had success, soldiers simply share the podcasts.

Your attack upon the honor and dignity of the soldiers of this great nation shows a shocking lack of knowledge of our soldiers, their beliefs, and how they vote. And believe me, there's a big reason why the liberals go out of their way to disenfranchise the military from voting as much as possible - because they know that the military votes conservative.

Don’t hijack this thread!

Who said anything about Romney?

This thread is about REMOVING OBAMA. He’s at a minimum a felonious forger and at maximum a foreign, enemy combatant who should be in Gitmo right now.

November is eight months away and Romney is not even the nominee yet.

Many, many things would change before then if Obama supporters here would stop defending his criminal behavior.

FR is the best site on the Interwebz. This place is a whole lot of things, but let’s be realistic, this site certainly is not statistically representative in matters of Romney.

Any and all actual Romney supporters have long ago, been purged.

What’s left now, are anti-Romney people, who either see Obama as the real problem, or anti-Romney people who see Romney as the real problem.
