Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

“With Romney, we will get drastically increased size of government, More bailouts, support for the Gay Agenda, no fight at all for Pro-Life issues, and probably, just like he did in MA, talk about being Pro-Life, and then implementing the policies of the Pro-Abortion crowd and making excuses that the Supreme Court made me do it. “

Romney = bad does not trump Obama = worse.

I am not amused by intentional ignorance. There is nothing further that we can discuss.

You got that right. In fact, you’d thus have little to discuss with any major public conservative thinker. Because not one of them would say there would have been no difference between Obama and McCain.

You bet I have that right. You’ve proved beyond any doubt that facts don’t mean a thing to you.

Currently, the GOP is the only viable means to stem this BLUE tide. There may be a point in the future when that is not true, but it’s the only horse in the race now. I despised McCain last time around, but I still voted for him. I’ll vote for Romney this time, even though he was not my first choice. As Glenn Beck says, “At least he’s not a commie.”

Beck is a useful idiot. I knew all along he was in the tank for his buddy. Wonder why? /s

By the way, what do you call RomneyCare if not communism?

Ronald Reagan on RomneyCommieCare:

But then, Romney loathes Reagan.

Lol. Well, that’s your opinion. Strangely enough, some people here gave good advice. Others decided on ad hominem attacks on my character and my ability to do my job.

I guess you’re much better of a person. You’d just ignore the insults.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but “fire in the belly” is virtually a requirement to become president, and it's awfully hard to distinguish that from having a big ego and a will to power.

The job description of Romans 13 for civil magistrates may overlap with the qualifications of I Timothy and Titus for ecclesiastical office, but they are not identical.

Being a civil magistrate is a calling, not totally unlike being a pastor, elder or deacon, but the skills required are very different. Yes, bravery and firm convictions are required in church and in state, but wielding the sword of civil justice is not the same as wielding the sword of the Scriptures from the pulpit. Servant leadership is an asset in the church but often perceived as weakness by the world -- look at all the attacks leveled against Huckabee and Santorum on Free Republic for “weakness.” I'm not saying those attacks were justified, but I am saying there was a perception of weakness -- and I'm saying that as a person who voted for both Huckabee and Santorum.

If the worst problem with a candidate is a big ego and a desire for power, that doesn't bother me in politics, though I'd have a big problem with someone like that in the pastorate. Oh, I forgot... we've already got a lot of men like that in too many “big steeple” churches ;-)

“Groupthink” is a weasel word full of assumptions and intentions to bully people through their emotions. It’s not the tactic of a thinking person but rather of a sheeple who wants to pretend to be a sheep dog. It is also so shopworn by GOP-elitists now it sounds like bleating.

No, I don't think there is an analogy equal to Mitt's cowardice at all

My Pilate analogy refers not to Mittens, but to those who would rather see BO be reelected, and serve have him serve another term, than dirty their hands, in their opinion, by voting for Romney.

If your best option is terrible, but the other is calamitous, you take the terrible option, and prevent calamity. You don't disdainfully point out how terrible the terrible option is, and allow calamity to occur by default.

I know who your analogy referred to and my response to it reflects that. The post you are now responding to was a re-working of your analogy by SoConPubbie and my reply to it pertained to that version.

In my time on FR, I’ve seen Windy misread exactly one thing. I (and many others) shared in that error - Palin 2012. That aside, he has been dead accurate 99.9% of the time, because his posts are ALWAYS backed up with proof of what he’s talking about, whether that’s stats or historical instances/examples.

That said, ‘technically’ he still could be right if we go to a convention. Windflier - Great Sage of Trollhenge ;)

I’ve always been an accused ‘Palin Cultist’ but I’ll freely admit (IMO) she made a huge mistake not backing someone to the hilt after she stepped off the train and it definitely didn’t help matters, to put it mildly.

Hopefully she will use her influence to fully push Newt against Romney. If she does not, and backs Romney instead it will be obvious that I and many others will have seriously misread who she really is.
