Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

“Romney = 85 chance he will e a disaster.

Obama = 100 chance he will advance communism and collapse.

I am voting based on that 15 percent and nothing more or less.”

There is one problem with your (and others) thinking.....

ROMNEY CAN’T WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROMNEY WON’T WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, you can proudly stand up for conservatism or you can waste your vote on ANOTHER GOPe LOSER!

F me once (Bob Dole), shame on you. F me twice (John McCain), shame on me. F me THREE times (Mitt Romney), wait, I can’t be THAT STUPID!!!!!!!

The only stupid anything on this site is people STILL making excuses for their cowardace in voting Romney, when the boss CLEARLY said such was unwelcome.

Do you not understand that or is your pride unable to allow your decency to shine through?

Speaking as a poster with no authority to so anything but bitch, Shut up, go away or both. But have the decency to respect the owner’s wishes.

that is total nonsense and you know it....while our candidate is FAR from perfect, he is a hell of a lot better that Obama...and you know it.

Our? You hitched your wagon to him. Not me.

So you say he’s a hell of a lot better.

Prove it.

This. IMHO, Ron Paul is too extreme, and i won’t vote for someone who has messed up the military. So i’ll vote for Romney.

"Romney will lose for the same reasons that McCain lost."

No matter what we say or do, Romney cannot inspire or motivate the base in the general election. Just can't work up any enthusiasm for the jerk.

What plan of action, SPECIFICALLY are we talking about at this point?

We all KNEW the Primary was critical and yet here we ae again with another McCain/Dole.

I’m fine with not voting for Romney, but who do we vote for?

Jim, I apologize for introducing this, as I do not know how you feel about the site I'm going to link (it has gone much more GOP-e in the last year or so).

But there is a site called RedState.com, run by Erick Erickson (who is a Minnesotan, like me). On this site, a couple of years back, there was a series of posts about something called the Precinct Committeeman Project.

The idea is to take over the GOP from the ground up, swarming all the lower level *PARTY* positions (not governmental positions) with TeaParty, grass-roots, movement conservatives: and working our way up the levers of power in the party, so that Romney-esque shenanigans can no longer be pulled on us.

Here is a link to one of the earliest mentions of it:

The Committeman Project.

(Vassar Bushmills got the equivalent of a RedState *ZOT* a year or two back, for reasons I cannot now recall; but I think that another poster there called ColdWarrior has been pressing the Precinct Committeman Project as of late.)

And as far as the Romney situation goes: let's work to deny him the nomination on the first ballot.

If he names Sarah or Col. West as his running mate, I'll gladly vote for the lower half of the ticket -- as I did in 2008 by voting proudly for Sarah Palin, not for whatshisface.

If he nominates a RINO, I'm stumped. Obaama represents a literal, existential threat to the country -- and by that I mean unilateral disarmament (to be followed by a Chicom invastion or nuclear strike on all our major cities, they need lebensraum) or else war on Israel (in which case GOD kicks our ass, and deservedly so).

But Romney just plain blows.

NO cheers, unfortunately. Cheers!

You can call yourself pragmatic all you want but you can't call yourself a conservative because a conservative does not vote for a liberal.

Myself personally I cannot vote for a pro abortionist without sharing in their sin. I will not have that blood on my hands.

If that means 4 more years of Obama so be it, but I will blame those like you who betrayed their supposed conservative values and sold their soul and supported a liberal candidate.

Seems to me only a hypocrite can call them self a conservative but still vote liberal.

A hypocrite and a coward. Cowardly because you would let your fear of Obama cause you to violate and compromise principles and values.

You and those like you fail at conservatism.

Jim, I hear what you're saying, and I'll say again, I'm not happy that Romney is the nominee either, but that is the reality we face.

On this issue, I'm taking the advice of Sarah Palin...”Anybody But Obama (ABO)!” I don't think that Sarah is a "tool" or a "fool."

“In MY view, we won’t survive four (heck two more years) of Obama. In MY view, at least with Romney we have a chance. I know this rationale pi$$es many off because they see it as caving or as setting up a straw-man. I (many of us) see it as dealing with reality of a very bad situation and making the best choice we can.”

Consider that if a war over the soul of America is unavoidable, and the Trayvon Martin v.Zimmerman case indicates that is the case, is it not better that such a conflict occur sooner than later?

Every year, the socicalist collective known as the public school system produces another graduating class that has no idea of American history or American Exceptionalism.

Best the fight occurs before the population of acculturated Americans vanishes from this land - what say you, FReepers?

As we get closer to the general election and Romney’s campaign rhetoric shifts further leftward per his natural inclinations, I wonder how our nose-holding brethren are going to feel about their ever-faithful GOP vote. Better yet, what further contortions they will resort to in an effort to convince us how wrong we are to hold to our conservative principles.

And Obama is a superior candidate to Barney Frank. And Barney Frank is a superior candidate to Maxine Waters. And Maxine Waters is a superior candidate to Hugo Chavez. And Hugo Chavez is a superior candidate to Kim Jong Un. How far are you willing to go? When will your slide into the cesspool stop? Or are you willing to go all the way in?

terrible analogies....the election is in November, if you want a third party, and that's OK by me, start a movement after that...we don't have time to play "I wish" games now. We will either vote for Obama or Romney...take your choice

If you’re too cowardly to stand for the principles that this great country was founded on, what good are you? You might as well get off FR and go join some RINO loving site. We’re going to fight these socialist bastards tooth and nail!!

We are the resistance!! Either join the fight or run, or troll-b-gone will get you!!

That's the big problem- IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! Romney can't beat Obama. That's the bottom line. Conservatives will stay home in droves.
