After being bit by a penguin, Gingrich says he's the underdog
NBC ^ | April 14, 2012 | Alex Moe

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The day after Newt Gingrich was bit by a penguin at a zoo, he acknowledged he is “the underdog” and said his campaign began renting their donor list because they needed money.

---

“Compared to Barack Obama, Romney’s a conservative,” he said. “Let’s be clear: There are no liberals in the Republican party.”

NBC shouldn't pick on Newt just because he was bit by a Penguin. Most politicians would quit if they were bit by a penguin, too. He is not unique.

And, what heck, for those of us who have donated to Newt, we shouldn't care if he is renting our names. He needs the money.

Further, who is to question Newt when he says that there are no liberals in the Republican Party. We trust Newt, don't we?

Maybe a bite from a penguin is good luck.

Oi oi, I don’t even know how to respond to this.

Yes, there are liberals in the republican party, Newt, in fact I’d say there are commies, because if you ain’t fighting the commies to the death, then you are one, and they ain’t fighting a damn thing other than the Tea Party.

Oh, and make sure that penguin wasn’t rabid!

Romney is a socialist abortion loving universal healthcare vending gun grabbing one-percenter mormon who keeps all his money safely overseas so communist DC cannot grab it. Romney should go overseas and live with his money and leave us alone. We do not need his interference. Clearly he sold his soul to the media communists or he would not be in the race. He has never articulated why he wants to be president. WHO IS BEHIND THIS GUY? I would love to know who his handlers are. I would suppose Soros Buffet and Gates. Somebody wants to make sure he gets the nomination so he can lose to Obama. Even Charlie Sheen could beat Obama, but Mint will throw the election just like McCain did. What is going on??

Romney does not bear the slightest resemblance to a conservative who cares about the republic and freedom and families and babies and God. He is a big government poster child, checked pants pink shirted rich country club RINO.

I don’t care what Newt’s opinion of Mitt Romney is one way or the other. I can form my own opinion. The media should be asking Mitt Romney what he thinks about Newt and if he will support Newt, not the other way around.

Newt has it in him to do what’s necessary to take our country back. Unfortunately, he retains his Washington-trained instinct to try to control the thinking of voters with rhetoric.

This article is a hit piece (witness the title) on Newt, quoting Newt’s own words. Newt is renting his donor list and telling everyone that there are no liberals in the Republican Party.

The article is not about Romney.

“Let’s be clear: There are no liberals in the Republican party.”

That statement is true only if the word "liberal" is redefined. Giuliani, Romney, Huntsman, and other modern-day Rockefellers can only be described as liberals - their actions are to the left of so-called Democrat moderates.

“Compared to Barack Obama, Romney’s a conservative,” he said.

Compared to the men who wrote the Constitution, both of them are oath-breaking socialists.

“Let’s be clear: There are no liberals in the Republican party.”

Let's be clear: There are no principled conservative statesmen in the top levels of the Republican Party.

Well, if what you say is true, then I guess no one should vote for Gringrich because if what you say is true then Newt either has to be terminally stupid or a liar. What a quandary.

Somebody wants to make sure he gets the nomination so he can lose to Obama.

Someone gets it. His assignment is to make clear the path for Barry’s re election. That’s why they chose the weakest of all and protected him. He doesn’t stand a chance against barry. We heard his debate skills - WEAK. More like talking points. And he had media/moderators who favored him. He’s turned down many debates so far - he has NOTHING to say. And he has absolutely nothing to debate barry with!

They don’t want Newt because Bambi would look like a fool. Can’t let that happen. Voters were deceived by all the millions of dollars spent by Mitt and the media’s orders were to protect him and keep drumming he is in the lead. He was in the lead from when he stepped on stage and they kept hammering that away. Didn’t matter who was in the lead, they kept driving that message home to deceive voters.

Totally agree. Mitt did not have enough charisma to beat McCain for the nomination. Having run the Olympics and made a big pile off reengineering american jobs overseas are hardly qualifications for national leadership, much less being the socialist communistic governor of the most highly taxed state in the Republic. I do not see that Romney has any more credentials than Obama except maybe the birth eligibility thing.

At least Newt will drag Obama out in the middle of the street and give him a good spanking over the communist anarchist government and failed financial welfare and tax policies of the democrats. Newt is far from perfect but he looks like a hero compared to Obama. I am no Newt fan but at least he is not owned by Wall Street hedge funds and the media communists like Romney.
