Trayvon Martin's killer showed signs of injury: neighbors (Prosecutor's case falling apart)

Neighbors of George Zimmerman say he had bandages on his nose and head the day after he shot dead Trayvon Martin, supporting statements by the neighborhood watch volunteer that he was beaten in a confrontation with the black Florida teenager.

The extent of Zimmerman's injuries could be crucial to his legal defense under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law, which allows the use of deadly force when someone has the reasonable belief he could face death or great bodily harm.

Police said Zimmerman, who has been charged with second-degree murder in the racially charged case, was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head and was treated by medics before being taken to Sanford police station after the February 26 shooting.

But public doubts were later raised by the release of a grainy surveillance video from the police station in which no injuries were readily visible.

No mention of the fact that the TV news deliberately blurred Zimmerman’s image.

I was once hit between the eyes and did not know my nose was broken until the xray was taken, and while it hurt when it happened, it hurt more the next day when everything started to swell.

And about 24 hrs after it happened, the usual black eye appeared....

I would imagine if you went thru a windshield or got hit by a 2x4 it would be worse looking much sooner.

And like I said yesterday, when someone is banging your one and only brain against concrete-AND the BACK of your skull which is more sensitive, there are only 2 outcomes:

Maiming or death...that’s it.

It is a MUST that you defend yourself because it is life threatening; smashing the head is not like breaking an arm-and I think that’s one reason they will lose.

It’s also about the civil case....they just wanted an arrest so that could go ahead.

There never was a case. The whole proceeding is to placate the blacks.

The extent of Zimmerman's injuries could be crucial to his legal defense under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law, which allows the use of deadly force when someone has the reasonable belief he could face death or great bodily harm.

Again with this nonsense?! This has NOTHING to do with the SYG law - assuming that Zimmerman is being truthful (and independent accounts and physical facts tend to show that he is), this was a case of PURE PERSONAL DEFENSE. He wasn't under a "reasonable belief" that he was going to be attacked, he was ACTUALLY UNDER ATTACK. Why can't anyone get that straight? This would be a SYG case only if Zimmerman shot Martin BEFORE being attacked, based on a claim that he thought that he would be attacked and suffer death or serious bodily injury.

Self defense, folks, self defense. That guy was about to have the back of his head caved in. That's a valid defense in ANY state of the union, because he had no ability to retreat (which makes SYG laws irrelevant).

Oh, and YES, this is a purely political prosecution. There's a reason that the police didn't arrest him before the circus started, and that's because the evidence and testimony that the police gathered showed that Zimmerman was defending himself. Zimmerman should sue Florida for malicious prosecution once he is acquitted.

Conversation between me and Mom this morning on the phone:

Me: perhaps it’s a good thing if this goes to trial. Then the TRUTH will come out.

Mom: But if they find Zimmerman “Not Guilty” “They’ll” RIOT!

Me: So now we have to direct the outcome of our justice system to coincide with the chosen verdict of a mob?

Mom: Yeah...you’re right.

(First time I ever won and argument with Mom! LOL!)

I don’t fear the race riots, I’m very well defended.

Yes. That is my plan as well.

However, I venture to guess that there will be riots no matter WHAT the outcome. So we might as well hope for the Truth, which is always the best thing! :-)

I do. I have a leftie friend who works at the Sanford Airport. He may get caught up in the BS and I don't think he's armed.

I want a detailed photo of the back of Mr Zimmerman’s head and one of his broken/bloody nose plastered everywhere.

Don't you dare! Everybody knows at this stage of the game, that's just whitey fabricating evidence to make Trayvon look guilty! /s

If (when) it turns out Geo. Zimmerman is not guilty of second degree murder, I'll be very interested to see how all the shameless racists react.

They never take pictures of the “perp” they take in who has injuries. For all these evidence crack team they got, the police is always incredibly sloppy or biased against whomever they cuff.

Do you have enough of this?

The prosecutor has no case and she knows it. This whole trial is about smoothing over the crowd that got stirred up by Sharpton and Jackson.
Which is a travesty of justice of the first magnitude. The prosecutor deserves a long sentence in prison.

Did you see Corey’s ridiculous press conference where she used the phrase “justice for Trayvon”, and said she had “prayed” with the Martin family?

I’ve told the story before of a brother of a friend. Guy grabbed his arm, he swung around, fellow lost balance, fell hit his head on bridge abutment, died. Brother did time for manslaughter.
