(Reuters) - A pair of African American men expect to file a lawsuit against ABC television and the producer of reality dating shows "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" charging racial discrimination, attorneys said on Tuesday.
The class action, to be filed in federal court on Wednesday, is being brought by two residents of Nashville, Tennessee who claim the popular shows intentionally exclude people of color.

They’d have to apply to the show, then demonstrate that other than color they are eminently qualified for the subjective traits of a selected bachelor, then show some kind of proof of disqualification over race. We’re talking someone who has a career impressive to a wide audience (pilot, winery owner, etc), chiseled good looks appealing to the bulk of that audience, and that aw-shucks likability. Comparable points regarding the harem.
The case will resemble the one filed for those excluded from the job of Hooters waitress, but with orders of magnitude more money at stake for the employer.

Good luck with your request, and I mean that. I’m sick to death of the generalizing, and completely out of patience with the faux ebonics that get posted on nearly every FR thread remotely connected to someone who is black.
At times, the ebonics have been so offensive I’ve pinged the abuse button. To FR’s great credit, the mods have been diligent about removing such remarks when it’s brought to their attention. But it would be a fulltime job to catch even a quarter of it that gets posted here, unfortunately.

What is the general condition and attitude of the majority of the black minority? I submit to you that they would vote for him again. Free, like quantity, has a quality all its own to many. If you are desperate to have as a result of bad choices or if you have been indoctrinated to envy anyone who promises to take care of you is a a messiah.
The poverty pimps and minority race baiters must sustain the claims of racism. Without it their power base would have no hate, fear, greed or envy or reason to empower them.
There are also too many lawyers and this motivates them to find victims through whom they can get other easy money.
Equality and respect are earned not given. Reputation and integrity are like virginity, once lost not recovered.

If one goes to an oriental country such as Japan or China, and pulls the same stunt as blacks in US, they will not hesitate to put one in their place.

Yes you’re correct. A lot are unhappy but most will still vote for him due to some misplaced cultural loyalty. Which is why I’m nervous but confident.

This is the very reason I think Obama got elected in the first place. I think far too many were afraid of being called racist. It could also be that they wanted to prove to themselves that they weren’t racist and just voted for him.
Either way I wish it weren’t so.
