In a report to be released Tuesday, it sharply criticizes the agency's own rescue plan and argues the Postal Service will become profitable only if it restructures itself like a business.
Labor groups, for instance, generally oppose cuts to service. The mailing industry opposes higher postage fees. I had to use a stamp to file my local taxes the other day. I believe the last time before that was a year ago for the same reason. Closing all post offices would work for me. I really don’t like getting bills and junk mail.
It is usually followed by guilt tripping customers, lobbying Congress to outlaw competition, and asking for a bailout.
Stupid, but the USPS isn't the only, over even the worst, at this. Many major “private” industries do the same thing.
