TransCanada submits new Keystone XL pipeline plan
Fox News ^ | 4/18/2012 | Lee Ross

For the first time since President Obama issued a controversial order halting its progress, the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline is once again on track for bureaucratic review after TransCanada submitted a new route through Nebraska designed to avoid environmentally sensitive areas.

The new plan, which TransCanada submitted to the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality on Wednesday, takes the Keystone project out of the deep freeze that began in January when Obama agreed with the recommendation of the State Department to reject the initial pipeline application.

This new development, first reported by Fox News, allows Nebraska officials to review the impact of the pipeline's adjusted route. It also opens the door for the pipeline's builder, TransCanada, to submit a new complete proposal covering the entire length of the pipeline to the State Department for its review.

My understanding is that the ONLY aspect of the pipeline that 0bama has authority over is the section that adjoins Canada to the U.S. Otherwise, I don’t think there’s any legal grounds for 0bama to claim authority over any other portion. We all know how that goes, though.. The self-proclaimed Dictator of this Banana Republic makes his own laws as he goes. WHERE THE EFF IS CONGRESS TO KEEP THIS ROGUE DICTATOR IN CHECK? JOHN BOEHNER, WHERE ARE YOU?( ( ((HELLO?!!!)) ) )

That’s okay 0bama, I’ve got solar panels on the roof of my car and just poured some slimy algae into the ‘gas’ tank this morning.. Oh yes, and my two wind turbines on the hood and trunk are functioning well. By the way, the trunk is full of corn just in case I need to make ethanol after the algae runs out. By the way, I drive a Toyota Solyndra! /sarc

If he’s re-elected, he’ll simply become a defacto dictator.

Nebraska has environmentally sensitive areas???!!! Wow, who would have known. Several years ago, my wife and I were traveling east from Wyoming, coming across Nebraska. We had to roll the windows up in the car, close outside vent from outside air. We could not breath for the STINK. Smelled like fresh s***! We drove ANOTHER TWENTY miles and finally found the source of the smell. Massive cattle pens along the interstate. Thousands of cows and the smell of their you know what. Once we got past the pens, the air cleared up. But, we smelled that smell for 20 miles at least!!! Some enviro sensitive area!!! :-)
