Driver Bogan Jabin Akeem {place of birth undisclosed} instead takes 268,000 rounds of ammunition into Mexico. Owner of Trucking Company is Kenyan born Dennis Mekenye, who prides himself in hiring foreign born truckers, and vouches for both Akeem and the cargo. But have no fear: US Consulate officer Olga Bashbush {yes, Bash Bush} has confirmed Akeem's US citizenship. (Links below)
I’m guessing the pallets of lead were paid before before they got ‘lost’....? How would insurance claim handle this?
Oooops, I made an 8 hour directional mistake?
Article says the load originated in Tennessee. Unless the guy had to go through some other stop in Texas, the quickest route to Phoenix from Tennessee is along I-40, then south from Flagstaff. I-40 doesn't get within 250 miles of El Paso, or Mexico for that matter, at any point east of Phoenix.
Never mind. I missed the fact that he did, indeed stop in Dallas. That puts him on I-20/I-10. Way closer than I-40.
Mistake! Get real!
A real law enforement agency should already be seizing the records of all past shipments of DEMCO TRANS., and investigating where and to who they actually were delivered. As they would be investigating all its employees and tracking down all DEMCO contacts with federal agencies. And real journalists would be on the exact same trail.
He was in El Paso, not Phoenix. I-10 heads to Arizona, I-110 heads to Mexico and it is a very short drive from the highway split to the bridge.

ah...I see the sign above - states: NO GUNS...doesn’t say anything about 200,000 rounds of ammo...good point!
I’m sure Mr Moslem knew what he was doing...
I remember when I was assigned Provost Marshall @ Victory in 2003 when a TCN driver came in - wasn’t part of a convoy - said he got separated and wanted in...the trep tried to explain why he couldn’t enter...and after having a close talk with a M9 he got the point...got in and drove off...this was before they started the VBIED campaign...but I was highly certain it was a trial run to see if they could get in on a pathetic excuse...
Like the photo you just posted — he knew what he was doing...
With a name like that, this woman deserves a big promotion to the 0bama reelection team.
Technically, he’d have to make a right if he’s coming to Phoenix from Dallas. You’d think he’d noticed when he got to the border crossing. I’ve not been to Jariez (sp), but when we’ve gone to other border crossing, there are signs all along the way warning that the border is approaching.
As a complete aside comment, we go to Algodonos (sp). There’s a sign that says “On more u-turn before the border”. I think that will make a great song one day.
Ummm. Never mind. I meant my other right.
bttt
Anyone with a brain would find it weird to pass through a international border crossing to get to Phoenix.
agreed, i must have close to that amount in my basement...whoops, said too much!
Looks fishy.

I think you may have the right of it; everything in the story is so... odd.
The names are right out of a James Bond novel. To me that points straight to the same clowns involved in Fast and Furious: Politically appointed Obamists in our State Dept, Justice Dept, and our nation’s intelligence community.
In a past life I wrote military planning documents. During my initial outline drafting I would use “funny” names to describe the places and players. It was an effort to keep an otherwise very dry document semi-entertaining and also to make obvious the plan was no-where near being complete, not ready for review, and not ready for execution.
I checked and you're right. It's only 182 miles down 19 to Heroica Nogales. It's all but across the street. :=)
I would consider I-30 SW from Memphis, through Little Rock, to DFW; then I-20 to Monahans; then I-10 through El Paso and Tucson up to Phoenix.
I suppose that is a little longer, but in winter it might be better (got snowed in once on our way up to Flagstaff).
I’ve been both directions on that route, but only from Austin, not all the way across from Memphis to PHX.
