Crowning Romney backfires on Fox News and RNC as Delegates, Voters say NO!
RightonWeekly ^ | 4/20/2012 | Tamara Heater

Voters and Delegates say NOT Romney

This entire not Romney force is building to BUST like a water balloon in the face of Romney, his minions and the RNC on the Greta Poll this week on Greta Wire and pounded it within minutes! People are ANGRY. They are angry at our cowardly media because they cannot address the current King, and you want to force feed another via crowning Romney, and have pushed turnout to record LOWS far below what is was with Stinky McCain in 2008.

Despite much pressure from Romney forces, Colorado Republicans last weekend at their Denver convention surprised political observers by electing – and by a large margin — more uncommitted than committed delegates. >>>(The hard count was 23 uncommitted to only 13 for Romney.)<<< This was widely interpreted to mean that rank and file Republicans are still very wary of Governor Romney’s candidacy.

– The other news is from Washington where the news media is all abuzz about a recent Washington Post/ABC poll. Here’s the transcript from a recent Meet the Press.

MEET THE PRESS HOST — …. I want to show you what I think is the most telling number of the week that’s come out in polls and it was from The Washington Post/ABC poll that talked about his favorability ratings. Right now Mitt Romney’s favorable ratings, 34 percent; unfavorable, 50 percent that isunheard of for a leading contender at this stage of the process.

Look back historically at what Republicans have enjoyed and if you look at the approval ratings that John McCain had at this point in the campaign, 53 percent; George W. Bush and Bob Dole, 49 percent. Again, Mitt Romney down at 34 percent.

Thank you. Thankyouverymuch. I'll take the minion title for campaigning against Romney.

My bottom line is that I don't want a liberal in office. Now or ever.

GOP is too stupid and set in their ways to rethink their strategy.

This screed looks like total nonsense to me. Totally out of touch with the prevailing reality of the situation, with the "facts on the ground," the determination of which voters must finally weigh in to decide....

In short, this screed is totally unhelpful.... And I totally deplore it.

One of your earlier posts suggests you will vote for Romney. No matter how "bad" a man you think Romney is, he is an infinitely better man than Obama. For one thing, he is not a pathological liar with an ideological agenda that calls for the destruction of the America we know and love. Obama is trashing our rule of law, systematically looting the American people, canceling our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and property

Romneycare brought socialized medicine to Mass. Romney was pro choice and there is NOT enough difference between Mitt and Obama for any conservative to vote for the rino. I posted the article because the writer did quite a bit of research and I do agree with a lot of her points. She is right on Fox as their ratings have gone down. Amazing to me that any christian can vote for Romney. Best to do a write in and vote on state candidates and issues..the time is past due to send the RNC a message.

Posted this because I noticed how much time and research the author put into it. I am accord with her on many of her points.

IF we can win the senate and maintain the house while refusing to vote for Romney it will send the RNC a message and the republicans (if they stick to their conservative values) can do major damage to any Obama legislation. How many times do we have to nominate a rino before the establishment gets the message?

So who else would be the nominee?

ANYONE else that is truly a principled conservative!

Note the title of the referenced article e.g. Crowning, as in King...

The RINOs expect their boy Romney the anointed one to be crowned at 'his' convention. LOL.

Principles and morals do not matter to RINOs and the useful idiots that support them BUT votes do matter.

I have a feeling that the RINOs will learn that the convention thet have tried to buy is not an anointing ceremony.

And alleged conservatives on this very forum that advocate voting for GOP candidate, regardless.

It's sad, that they prostitute their alleged conservative values to try to assure a futile attempt at a win in November.

They delude themselves with the most amazing fantasies about being about to bend the candidate to their will through pressure....

It's sad. Like an abused woman saying that it will be better this time. And letting him back in.

Voting for Obama is tantamount to treason.
Not voting is a disgusting slap in the face to our history.
Voting for some write-in candidate with no hope of winning is a vote for Obama. See the first sentence.

It’s almost as if some people here don’t realize four more years of Obama means the end of America.

If that doesn't tell the story, then nothing will. Center-right voters have looked at Mitt Romney and have seen right through his snake oil salesman grin. He's a fraud, and voters know it.

How on earth can a Republican challenger beat an incumbent Democrat president with that sort of lackluster support? Frankly, I don't think he can. He's incapable of generating enthusiasm, and if he's relying on the fear vote to put him over the top, then he's got a lot to worry about with people like me, who would rather vote for Mickey Mouse.

So what is a good solution?

I am perplexed why conservatives did not coalesce around ONE candidate early instead of dividing votes.

I am further perplexed why Santorum dropped out when he was in lead with delegates among conservatives.

I am even more perplexed at the thought of letting Obama win 4 more years. Then we are screwed for 30 more years with more SCOTUS justices like of Sotomayor & Kagan, such as Anita Dunn, Van Jones etc.

Windflier, that is a keeper. Going to send it to some friends on the edge of crossing over to Romney.

"If Romney were running as a Democrat there isn't even the remotest of chances that you would vote for the man. But now, because he's running against Obama, some entertain the thought. And what happens in 2016, when a member of Hamas runs as a Democrat and The Republican is only as bad as Obama? Do we then vote for the mirror image of him?

Look folks, at some point we have to let the (R) party know, that they have jumped the shark, and we can no longer support what they want us to. You see, if we don't, we'll forever be voting for McCains, Romneys, and worse of their ilk.

If they can get a Leftist like Romney elected, it's effectively the end of Conservatism. No Conservative will ever get the nomination again. Should that be our goal? No.

I’ll vote for Gingrich on Tues. and if Mitt gets the nomination, it will be my last vote as a Republican.

Just because you get knocked down doesn't mean you can't get up, dust yourself off, and get back into the fight. I don't care how long it takes, I'm going to lock my jaws down on the Republican Party and fight, fight, fight until the right people gain control.

They can knock me down 1000 times, and I'm going to get up 1000 times - and I ain't walkin' away! (and *you* shouldn't, either!)

This past year at our local Republican Party Executive Committee (the largest in my state) we had elections for president of the organization. The candidate from the Tea Party - and arch conservative if ever there was one - got 30% of the vote and lost.

However, next time she's liable to win if we stay in the fight.

And, the incumbent president who I thought was part of the "good ol' boy club" stunned me by eventually resigning to work for Herman Cain's campaign (anything *but" "good ol' boy"!).

Are you a member of your local Republican Executive Committee? If not, then you haven't even started to fight.

Hello, betty...how are you?

I was for Sarah, then for Cain, then Santorum, and now Newt. I am hoping against hope that somehow Newt will pull off a miracle and force a brokered convention so we can get a more conservative candidate.

But, if that does not happen, I posted here on FR, and on my own site, exactly what I intend to do and why.

The fact is, with Obama and his proven track record of destruction to this Republic, another 5 trillion in debt, ObamaCare, defanging and nuetering our military, allowing Iran the Nuke, and appeasement with Russia and China, as well as pushing the dependents on government over 50%...and there may well be no other ballot or peaceful chance to turn things around.

I will do what I indicate above just like the actual survival of the Republic depends on it...because I believe it does.

God bless you betty, and may God's wisdom shine on us as a people that we may come through these extremely dangerous times.

He's really in trouble here in the South. You know he came in third in both Mississippi and Alabama.

Your state, Texas hasn't voted, but even if he pulls out a win against dead broke Newt Gingrich, that's no guarantee he can carry Texas against the Marxist, without conservatives coming out in massive numbers to vote for him and I don't think y'all will.
