April 24, 2012 First Lady Says Election Could Hinge on ‘Few Thousand Folks’
Seeking to build a sense of urgency for November, First Lady Michelle Obama told a group of 400 campaign supporters in Iowa today that the election could come down to only a “few thousand folks.”
“I just want you to remember that in the end, this all could come down to those last few thousand people that we register to vote. It could all come down to those few thousand folks we need to help to get to the polls in November,” the first lady told the crowd of volunteers at a community center in Windsor Heights, a Des Moines suburb.
“I have said this before, Iowa, and you’ve heard me say it. He cannot do this alone. He needs you to help him,” she said.
Obama’s visit to the Hawkeye State – her second of the year – aimed to boost the campaign’s efforts to keep blue what is seen by both parties as a key battleground.
President Obama’s campaign has opened eight Iowa field offices and has volunteers organizing in each of 99 counties, officials said.
While Michelle Obama did not single out Mitt Romney by name, she exhorted her husband’s Hawkeye State surrogates to emphasize his “core” of values when appealing to voters.
“All you have to guide you are your values and your vision and your life experiences,” she said. ” In the end when you’re making those impossible choices, it all boils down to who you are and what you stand for — and we all know who my husband is.”

What’s with the Obamas and use of the word “folks”? They try to dial themselves down into the lower strata, trying to speak like those that they are not. Nevertheless, it is probably effective as most voters are morons.

This is going to be a serious issue. The RNC always get caught flat-footed. Obama’s Axelrod is setting up a $300m ground game of an election army of volunteers and recruits with SEIU certified training. Even the homeless and illegals are all being registered.

Mrs. dice and I just saw an interesting movie: `Nazis At The Center of The Earth.’
During the last days of WWII, a Junkers transport plane escaped Berlin with Dr. Mengele, a small number of SS troops—and Adolf Hitler.
The Germans had been exploring a section of Antarctica before the war and discovered a world under the ice. This is where they went to escape the wrath of their enemies and to prepare for the 4th Reich.
They built their own little world. Gary Busey’s son (I forget his first name, but with Busey Jr., you know it’s gotta be good) was cooperating with the Nazis, because he was a closet Nazi. He was delivering scientists to them and they were harvesting body parts in order to extend their own lives for decades.
So they had perfected, for example, the Terminator’s `40 watt phased plasma gun’ and had actually built the flying saucer that I’m sure many of you have seen depicted here at one time or another. The saucer was about the size of Terre Haute and had a giant laser mounted on top in order to blast through the ice, and it was bristling with gatling guns.
OK ... Hitler’s head had been installed in a giant robot’s body—think the robot that almost put Robocop out of a job—and Adolf was saucer captain, of course. As an aside, he bore a striking resemblance to one of my former co-workers.
His diabolical plan was to bomb “non-Aryan countries” with missiles containing flesh-eating microbes. First on their itinerary was the Falklands, then the US and Canada.
Thank goodness for non-Aryan mankind, however, two brave American scientists, male and female (the gal knew some German and enjoyed taunting Hitler with German swear words), killed Mengele and forced the flying saucer to crash.
Unfortunately, Hitler hopped out (very lively) and began shooting down F-16s with a laser gun in his chest. He also had a large caliber mini-gun and was just about to perforate the buxom female hero when her fiance—they became engaged at some point—jumped on Hitler’s back and injected him through a shunt with the microbes, and Hitler’s head exploded.
In conclusion, the movie reminded me of Mookie’s extravagant statement above. They just don’t make movies, and First Couples, like that anymore. I give it 4 die out of 5 for its creamy, cheddar cheesiness.
As far as I can tell from Obama’s Hope and Change, his core values are:
1. Spreading the wealth is a good thing.
2. Waste as much public money into friends’ shell companies that eventually go bankrupt.
3. Blame all problems on everyone else.
4. Take credit for anything that is going right.
5. Republicans are always wrong, even if they do what you want them to do. IE - you can always find a way the Republicans are wrong.
6. Never let a crisis go to waste.
7. As a liberal, when you say one thing and do the opposite, the liberal media will not point this out.
8. Deflection, projection and straw men are main political strategies.
9. Never admit you’re gay, or a communist.
10. He is joyfully awaiting the coming worldwide Caliphate.
Are these “few thousand people” poll workers or the people who are going to vote multiple times?
