Karl Rove's Early Electoral Map: OBAMA WINS
Business Insider ^ | 04/26/2012 | Brett LoGiurato

Ever since Mitt Romney all but secured the Republican nomination, we were all waiting with bated breath.

Wait no more. Karl Rove has finally put out his inaugural 2012 electoral map. And who's winning?

Barack Obama. Here it is, in all its glory:

Karl Rove electoral map

Rove.com

You can see there how it breaks down: Right now, 284 votes are either solidly for Obama or "leaning Obama." Romney only has 172 solidly in his grasp or "leaning" toward him. The remaining 82 electoral votes are toss-ups.

What does this mean? Well, first, that Romney has some catching up to do and the gravity of the map he's up against. According to this map, even if Romney wins all the toss-up states of Iowa, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida — which could be done — he still wouldn't beat Obama.

:) This is the starting map, I’m sure, that Romney’s team also put together.

This is not the “end” map either team believes will transpire.

Rove is full of bullshit.

If South Carolina is a toss up so is NY.

The halfrican, communist, mooselimb, prick has as much chance of winning in SC as he does in Texas which they have only leaning for romney. Pure crap.

This is going to be a landslide election and the demonRATS are going to lose so many other seats that the media will be in shock.

The mitten haters here on FR will have to take a week of vacation to comprehend what just happened.

Every one of those tossups are solid republican wins.

Rove is delusional to think Romney would lose NH and that Texas is going to be close.

280 Obama, 258 Romney

Which means Romney has to flip either MI, OH or PA to win. Any one of them.

I hadn’t thought about it that way—you just brightened my day.

If Rove is seriously saying that Texas "leans" Romney...you can throw the whole thing out. Texas is solid, as is the entire South. Also Ohio, Penn. Nevada and Colorado.

I have said for months that the polls are meaningless because no one is going to tell a pollster that they disapprove of Obama and risk being called a racist. Voters will show up in November and vote the Marxist out in a landslide. Despite being called a RINO in FReeperland.

at this stage in the game, any map or chart that Karl produces is done for the purpose of raising money for the GOP.

...called a RINO in FReeperland

Kinda sounds like a blues ballad song title.

The only good thing about this election is that either Obama or Romney is going to lose.

The bad thing is that the country loses no matter which wins.

1. Romney has not even secured the GOP nomination yet.
so this is all just conjecture.

2. Tokyo Rove is an idiot.

RE: Rove is delusional to think Romney would lose NH

We should remind ourselves that NH is filled with neighboring
Massachusett type libs who caused NH to vote for Obama in 2008.

Someone posted a link to a YouTube video of election night 1980. Uncle Walter was marveling at the lopsided defeat of his man Jimmah. Mentioned that a poll taken the weekend before the election showed a dead heat with Reagan having a slim 3% lead.

So anyone tells you he can predict what’s going to happen in November, that man is a fool.

I hope Rove is wrong. One place where I KNOW he is wrong is SC! THERE IS NO WAY SC is a toss up.....As a proud South Carolinian I think most of SC would rather secede again than to have Obama as President another 4 years.

And will probably be on Hannity’s show any minute now to explain to us why we’re the delusional ones.

Karl Rove's Early Electoral Map: OBAMA WINS

So Rove is publicly acknowledging he backed a loser, when he was saying Romney was the only one "electable". Does he think this prognostication is going to somehow improve his credibility? That is odd to say the least.

"Texas leans Romney?"

Yeah, a reality check there, right? Romney needs to come up with a good Southern conservative.

wishfull thinking.

Romney can’t win with out the right wing. Many of us have said no eff’n way..

The Obama attack machine has not opened fire on Romney yet.

Romney can not outspend Obama like he did in the primaries.

Romney if lucky, will squeak it out with a win. But most likely will loose.

I can hear Obama now. “Romney supported almost all of my plans. Even HE supports me!”

True, but that was when Obama ran against McCain.

New Hampshire is quintessential Romney.
