WINNERS vs LOSERS
When a winner makes a mistake, he says, I was wrong. When a loser makes a mistake, he says, It wasnt my fault.
A winner always gives 110% no matter how big or small the task. A loser is always too busy to do what is necessary and finds excuses. A winner goes through a problem. A loser goes around it, and never gets past it. A winner makes commitments. A loser makes promises. A winner says, Im good, but not as good as I ought to be. A loser says, Im not as bad as a lot of other people. A winner respects those who are superior to him and tries to learn something from them. A loser resents those who are superior to him and spends time finding fault. A winner feels responsible for more than his job. A loser says, I only work here. A winner says, There ought to be a better way of doing it. A loser says, Thats the way its always been done here."

A Long And Winding Path
April 29, 2012
Sometimes the path of life seems impossibly steep and lengthy. I have no strength and no will for the journey. Then I remember God knew this path long before I was called to walk it. He has always known the difficulties I would experience, the pain that I could never explain to another. He knows and offers His presence.
Perhaps youre overwhelmed with sadness today. It may be the weight of a difficult ministry; the worry of a hard marriage; the sorrow of a struggling child; the care of an aging parent; other troubles that come with life. Surely, you say, God would not have me walk this way. There must be another, easier path for me to travel.
But are any of us wise enough to know that some other way would make us into better and wiser children? No, our Father in heaven knows the best path, out of all possible paths, to bring us to completion (Ps. 142:3).
His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isa. 55:9). We can humbly take the path He has marked out for us today, and do so in absolute trust in His infinite wisdom and love. He is wiser and more loving than we can ever know. He who sees has foreseen and will not lead us astray.
Be still and know that He is God
For pathways steep and rough;
Not what He brings, but what He is
Will always be enough. Anon.
God will never lead you down a wrong path.
Read: Psalm 142

A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours, Mac...*HUGS*
Did you have to work? Forward progress?
Busy day here....many problems related to my Dad. He only wants to sleep, and he may have a touch of the flu...problems getting to the bathroom. You know the drill when you are mobility challenged. Lots of cleanup. One job lead to another. Trying to knock some things off my Mom’s list for my Dad.
Then 2 hours trying to clean up his email....almost 1600 unread.
Hope you are comfy and sitting back with maybe your cook son grilling for you.

Thanks very much, Kathy - did not go into work today. I woke up with a severe pain in my neck 3:00 a.m. Friday morning. Went to work yesterday and soldiered through - decided to call in today. Have rested and the pain is finally subsiding.
Tomorrow my son Daniel wants to plant the tomatoes and peppers. Will probably do so in the afternoon. Hard to believe that Tuesday is the first of May.
Today is a day of some significance to me - I arrived in country Vietnam 28April 1969. Twenty-one years old and no expectation of ever looking back on it from over 40 years away. Life is good.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Congratulations on your 40 year anniversary. Glad you are here.
Here's your perch for overseeing the planting.
Take good care of that neck. No sudden movements.
