Jeb Bush is for amnesty for illegal immigrants! The U.S. is finished as a capitalistic country, when so many are praising “pro-amnesty for illegal immigrant” Republicans, such as Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie,...!

Petraeus is a servant of the Usurper. Put Col. Lakin in the VP spot and I might consider voting for mittens.

I don’t care if Luke Skywalker, Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne is picked. I REFUSE to hold my nose and vote again for a RINO.

Going over a cliff at 75 MPH is no different than going over a cliff at 100 MPH - you still wind up dead.

Ike was dismissed at the time by professional historians (most of whom just happen to be liberal Democrats), but his reputation has been steadily rising.

He was probably the best President in the last 60 years apart from Reagan, with the possible exception of George W. Bush. (Too soon to evaluate Bush 43).

Well, since Romney has described himself as "severely conservative," he needs someone from the more moderate wing of the party for balance./s

McCain's choice of Palin was brilliant, but he should have let her know two months earlier so she would have had time to prepare, and not to be thrown to the media piranhas without time to get ready for the national spotlight. There are several good conservatives who have been talked about who could help Romney. If he picks someone else it had better be a genuine conservative (pro-life, of course) and someone who can hit the ground running.

Romney should either take Susan Martinez or Marco Rubio and be done with it.

Although Allen West would really piss the libs off.

all children forced to learn Mao’s little red book and speak Chinese!

Good read till that point, then the reality snacks it down. If you research China I think you will not even find the Chinese pushing the "little red book". That ended with them learning and practicing capitalism nearly as much as the USED to push the little red book.

Now however their high level party officials have advanced business degrees from U.S. universities.

If this is the same guy that did the Rolling Stone ‘interview’ then I’d say no way. He was reported to be liberal, despite having staff mock Zero.

Does it really matter who Romney appoints as the VP? If he appoints a conservative or faux conservative it will only be window dressing. If he wins, Romney and his advisors will determine policy, not the VP. Under Romney the VP will attend state funerals and make speeches unless Romney picks another like minded politico such as Huntsman who then might be part of the inner circle of advisors.

Romney is Romney. His domestic policies will reflect his underlying social liberalism. His economic policies will sustain crony capitalism. He will continue the interventionist imperialistic foreign policies of recent administrations. A conservative VP will not influence him at all.

Not enough info on him to make a choice. We only know his war record, not his real thoughts/policies on too broad a spectrum.

Your grandfather was wrong Ike was an excellent president. In my life time only Reagan ranks with Ike.
