President Obama's Huey Long-style government spending has showered benefits on illegals. That's ironic, because for the first time since the 1930s they would now rather live in Mexico. Maybe jobs matter after all.
At a Hispanic Community Action Summit led by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa this month, 39 federal officials from agencies ranging from ICE to the EPA courted hundreds of Hispanic activists with one message: Claim your government benefits.
They offered up goodies from food aid to educational benefits to help in fighting deportation.
The outreach, said a conference organizer, was based on a "community organizing" approach of asking Latinos what they wanted and giving it to them.
Well, according to a new study by Pew Hispanic Center, plenty just want jobs, not handouts. Mexican illegal immigrants — about 70% of the 10 million-plus illegals in the U.S. — are leaving America in droves.
For the first time since the Great Depression, more are going back to Mexico than are coming here. Pew estimates that 1.4 million Mexicans came to America in the five years ended in 2010, while the same number and their U.S.-born children returned home.
At about the same time, Obama has showered so much federal largess on the Hispanic community to shore up support for the Latino vote.
In addition to benefits regardless of immigration status, he's offered de facto amnesty by cutting down on deportations, saying U.S. policy will be to prioritize those who have committed crimes. By manipulating statistics to include voluntary deportations, he's managed to make it appear that deportations are up to 400,000.

CONSIDER THE CONTRAST IN FISCAL POLICY BETWEEN MEXICO AND THE USA ( Ignore crime and security issues for the meantime, just focus on FISCAL matters ):
Right now, Mexico is posting growth in the 5% range and has a government that practices fiscal discipline.
The country has signed 50-plus free trade treaties, and runs a pension system that’s privatized, like Chile’s.
That’s why jobs are there and Mexico’s unemployment rate is lower than ours. Mexican per capita incomes have crossed the critical $7,000 line.
The U.S., by contrast under Obama, has $15 trillion in debt, a big-spending government whose Senate hasn’t passed a budget in more than three years, a Social Security system running out of cash, and just 17 free trade pacts. Worse still, its business climate has faltered as regulation and ObamaCare costs drive out investment and keep jobs from forming.
Mexicans have a totally different cultural outlook then American Blacks. They are raised to work for a living and..move themselves and their families forward to growing opportunity and prosperity. Most Haitians & Caribbean Blacks have a similar culture. As do African Blacks. American Blacks, on the other hand, always have the hand stuck out looking for the “free” “Obama stash” i, the something for nothing credo. They, sadly to say, have been effectively brainwashed by their Plantation Owner, Economic, Slave Holder, leader class, starting with POTUS Barack Hussein Obama, The NAACP, and the Racist, Congressional Black Caucus.

Being unemployed in Chicago is also a much worse event than being unemployed in Mexico.

Here’s an even more interesting question which goes to America’s Tax laws... If an anchor baby ( born American by virtue of our laws ) were to go back to Mexico and eventually PROSPER when he grows up ( i.e. becomes a millionaire ).
Are his income and wealth (which he made in Mexico) TAXABLE in America?

There were twelve million here in 98. The entire landscape has changed across the country. Look at the radio and TV stations that have sprung up. They tell the story for someone who reads the numbers. (I would think)

It’s tough to make do on just what welfare gives you. They live well here working under the table and collecting welfare if they can’t work here they opt to collect welfare here and live in Mexico where they can stretch their dollars further.
This is a very important point. People here have been cheering the supposed exodus of Mexicans, but all that it means is that we no longer have a growing economy.
Mexico has long been trying to get its population back (there are entire villages where all the young people have gone to the US) but didn’t have any lucrative work to offer them.
Well, now that Bambi has crashed our economy, I guess even living back in the old pueblo is looking pretty good.
Obama has been trying to make us a Third World nation, and he has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams, setting us on a course to be even lower than your average Third World nation.
I don’t believe this, or any of the other “more illegals leaving now”, story - not one goddam bit. Never. These people who perform these surveys, compile demographic data, etc. are just plain liars, period.
If anyone here believes that there are only 12 million illegals here as the government and media suggest, and that over 1 million of them left here last year, you are living in La La Land, frankly.
There are likely 30-40 million illegals here if you count the leeches who managed to drop an anchor baby here, there may be more.
Our ENTIRE support system here is geared up to lavish public and private services on these people. Schooling, even college tuitition breaks. AFDC, WICs, SCHIP, SNAP, housing assistance, you name it. Government (most local, state and Federal agencies) bend over backwards to push services in their face while not stigmatizing or turning their illegal asses in to the authorities.
I don’t believe for one minute. They are just trying to placate the undecided immigration fence straddlers that the problem isn’t so bad now and that we can move on now to amnesty.....Get the hell out of my country!
There are millions of other Chicago residents who are equally miserable, and who are not Mexicans, and they'd move if they could.
Chicago is NOT at all like Palos Verdes, or even Miami. It's much more like Marquette but with more snow.
