It’s not like he came up with something new. It’s been known for decades that a low carb diet will help with diabetes. What, I need a license to tell someone to take someone an asprin if they have a headache?

I didn't go and read the source article, but it sounds like it was even more outrageous than that.

It sounds like the analogy would be that he blogged "I had a headache, took aspirin, and it stopped hurting" and they accused him of prescribing without a license. Now I haven't seen the guy's site, so I don't know how explicit he gets in telling people what to eat, but that's the impression the article gives me.

I believe that this has been reported elsewhere.

Maybe he’s a nut, but there are lots of diet nuts out there. Nobody paid attention till when? Do old guard dieting organizations like Weight Watchers need this “nutrition license” or do they get grandfathered?

Just how low carb a troglodyte’s diet might be, depends on whether the cave is near a grove of fruit trees, or bee hives. Too much refined carbohydrate can cause problems, but it’s not the universal plague it’s been painted to be.

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers — and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system.”

Everyone violates stupid laws every day. We’re all criminals.

Good luck to the 5 people who don’t trying to be prison guards for the billions in the gulag.

Sadly, in the new health gulag we will live on under Obamacare, you probably will need a license to tell someone to take an aspirin.

I said it for years, once I saw all the pharma commercials on tv, we were being set up. Its going to be an ugly health based police state.

That sounds an awful lot like advice. Where is your legal disclaimer? lol
