Cement deal for Whitney

Here’s one way to cement Whitney Houston’s legacy: The pop diva’s family plans to encase her body in concrete — so that no one is tempted to rob the grave.

The is $800,000 in jewels in Houston’s casket, and the singer’s family can’t afford 24-hour security to guard against ghoulish thieves, according to the newspaper The Daily Star.

The British tabloid didn’t say when Houston’s family would dig up Whitney’s New Jersey grave and pour the cement.

The family hopes to cash in on continual post mortem sales of her music....sooooo, a legend must be created to turn her into a mystical, never-dying icon ala Elvis.

$800K in jewels encased in cement in perpetuity is the stuff legends can be made from. The eventual payoff for what could be considered madness could be many, many times that figure.

The body is now an empty shell.
I suggest you treat it as such.

SO THAT’S why Bobby Brown beat her - he was initiating the mating ritual!

Ridiculous. Give the jewelry to the Salvation Army or a food bank so it can do some good.

I looked that up, knowing I was right, and still laughed out loud.

That damn game was fun but costly as all get out...the only reason I’m not crying is at least I managed to recycle most of that lead for my brief but enjoyable blackpowder phase.

Sad story. Little privacy in life and now even less in death.
Rest in peace Whitney Houston.

You should check out the Angry Marines. I’m tempted to start playing just to field a chapter. (Language warning.)

I don’t actually play, but I love the fluff. If you’re curious, there are some very good webcomics based on the game:

Turn Signals on a Land Raider: http://tsoalr.com/?p=1

Servants of the Imperium: http://servantsoftheimperium.com/comic.php?comicid=1

Exterminatus Now (A WH40K/Sonic the Hedgehog mash-up. Yes, you read that right): http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2003-09-29/comic/meet-the-crew/dirty-harry/

That first link was Trojan Central Station LOL....haven’t played that game since senior year myself (90/91) but it was my obsession for a while.

Vagina won that contest by a mile.

Is she a Pharaoh? Why bury $800k? She doesn’t need any of it. It’s not going to heaven or hell, but it could be used for some good here on earth. How about using it to help battered women or people addicted to drugs?

Even if the money wasn’t used for charity, it’s just a waste to bury it.

Why bury $800k?

Creative estate tax planning?

"All that jewelry? We buried it, and set it in concrete."

Challenge accepted?

LOL!

What a story!

BTW, the Gypsy King and Queen have for many years had their graves “exploited” with backhoes and every other imaginable machinery.

Never happened.

Frankly, I have NO doubt that there is not one bit of bling on Whitney, though she certainly deserves to lie in rest as beautiful as she left this world.

She’s paid a lot for others to have good jobs, though I don’t think they had her best interests at heart.

A lawyer is third in line to pay his respects to the deceased at an Irish wake.

The first mourner cries and tosses a $100 bill into the open coffin.

The second mourner cries and tosses a $100 bill into the open coffin.

The lawyer shrugs, tosses a personal check for $300 into the coffin and takes the two $100 bills.
