Bill Ayers to University Students: America‘s ’Game Is Over‘ and ’Another World’ Is Coming
Theblaze.com ^ | 5:2;12

Bill Ayers spoke at the University of Oregon last week on the subject of teaching and organizing for “social justice.”  His speech was not free of the radical sentiments he is well-known for espousing (especially in the company of America’s youth). Case in point: he spoke of the end of America, a new world, and what our role ought to be in all of it.

Almost as interesting as Ayers’ speech itself, perhaps, was how the leftist radical was introduced by the university students.  One girl, who described herself as a doctoral student at the university, spoke of the privilege they would have with their honored guest, in an “evening [of] radical imagination.”

Two others, an associate professor at the university and a graduate student, remarked: “Most of us have in one way or another acknowledged the sovereign authority of the U.S. government– or the state of Oregon– in order to be here tonight, either admission to the university, applying for a job, or just paying the parking meter.  We have not, however, asked permission of the [Native Americans] whose ancestral home this is, and to fail to acknowledge that this remains disputed territory would in effect be taking sides, [and] reinforce the erasure of indigenous history and indigenous peoples.”

When Ayers spoke, it was largely of how the “American Empire” is over, and what this means for her citizens (though there was a fair amount of “the wasteful American” theme throughout as well):

The great challenge for our generation [is] to find a way not just to live differently as individuals, but to find a way to think differently about what work means...

If there is a civil war, are those in the colleges, in the cities, are they being trained? Is the OWS the training ground?

Look up Vencemeros Brigades, Jamaat ul Fuqra, and the AMC, CAIR and ISNA sponsored "summer camps," etc.

"Well, retailers around here can’t seem to keep 7.62 x 39 ammunition in stock, and I *know* there isn’t anywhere near that much target practice going on."

So you see, many true conservatives, more honest and seeing the rising mountain of debt, lack of production, etc., are poor folks, buying cheap, commie 7.62x39. Meanwhile, most of the AR-15, 5.56mm-buying-class are the new/political/regulator class, soaking up the larger but increasingly worthless clumps of debt from this debt regime.

Paradox, eh? ;-)

Joking, of course, but I do notice that many who are buying some of the more expensive "black guns" ("as seen on TV") are bureaucrats and the more government-dependent, corporate admin office types (regulators: no competition allowed).

I'm getting too old to participate in much excitement and will sit the whole end-of-the-world thing out here on I Told You So Hill, where only the extreme cold, high winds and spraying ice are very dangerous.

As for firearms? Well, most of 'em will work for what they were intended to do, technically speaking...and more, for those few with some extra ingenuity (sportsmen/machinists and the like, who can sometimes work old new wonders with accuracy and function). I've spent many hours on ranges in the past but haven't been able to get past the fun math of infrequent hobby ballistics study and to the noisy, smelly, boring range in recent years. ;-)

IMO, most of our fellow Americans, good and evil, couldn't stand a day away from their entertainments and conveniences to even perpetrate interesting riots. Look at the recent May Day commies. They quickly broke a few things, discarded their in-style, black outfits and hid in larger crowds as quickly as they could. They couldn't stand a week in the field as proper guerrilla bad guys. They're only going to pose a lot and find out firsthand, what living in a third world country is like.

Thanks for the Pings.

"Ayers and his kind are supported by both political parties and all levels of government. Yes, they hate others around them (us), but why? Something to think about."

You've a knack for understatement.

Will the young men and women in the military know the difference between a patriot and a marxist?

I've wondered about just that.

Seems to me that, as in the rest of the population, most of these young men and women went to public Screwels, have taken in the "Social Studies" and "History" drool, where they lean towards World History instead of American History, and teach Marxism=Good Capitalism=Bad Founders=Bad. A higher percentage (compared to the general population) of these fine folks have refreshed their patriotic knowledge and have thought about following the Constitution, their primary oath. However, not enough for the bulk to actually disobey orders. Their mileage may vary, though, depending on the degree of cross-Constitutional directives they receive...

I agree that America won’t fall to these overgrown punks, but there’s nothing sad to me about their waning days. Our problem is that we let the stench dissipate (or were lulled into a false sense of security just because the Soviet Union fell & China became a “friendly” trade partner). Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
If only Joe McCarthy had been able to finish the job. (& he was quite right about Hollywood, wasn’t he?)

All of these guys- the Weathermen, the Black Panthers, etc, belong in prison for life. Charles Manson “only” killed a few people. These b*st*rds want- still want, to kill an entire nation if it doesn’t agree with them. I used to think “just deport them”. That’s not enough.

Socialists are the slow kids in class. They have been trying to make their dilly project work for over a hundred years and it never has and never will. The down side it costs about a million lives a year on average.

GREAT POSTER! Post this on whatever thread that you see fit!

In return, here is some food for thought for you to ponder and opine on, as follows:

Democrats love to help rich people become poor.

There are more factors involved than just the motivation to help.

Another factor is ambivalence, that is holding two opposing emotions at the same time.

What I see is ambivalence on the part of the Counter Culture of The Left, (CCOTL).

In order to achieve their goals, the CCOTL MUST destroy all vestiges of resistance to what order that THEY want to impose on Society.

Their goal then is to establish THEMSELVES as the sole authorities of Societal Mores, that must be obeyed without hesitation.

Hence, the ambivalence: they HATE the present system of order, that allows for freedom of speech, and at the same time LOVE their system of order which will deny freedom of speech.

All of us went through this phase of ambivalence as we left the nest. It is just part of changing from a child to an adult. It is a juvenile way of looking at the World.

The grown-ups of the CCOTL are still holding onto their juvenile security blankets of ambivalence, and few among them have the courage to discard the contradictory values of the CCOTL and join in supporting the fundamental values of this Republic.

The OWS are the obvious Brown Shirts of the CCOTL, but their leaders are the Democrats in Congress and the White House. Currently the base voter support for this ideology of the Counter Culture Of The Left is above 40 %, according to current opinion polls.

The RINO Political Party hasn’t got a chance, as they are now currently bowing to a mere Reid in the wind - - - - .

The pendulum is swinging,
Which way will it go?
To the Left a little more,
Or will today’s voter’s say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ayers is correct, America's game is over. But he is mistaken who caused it.

He [Ayers] did not bring it about. obama did not bring it about. America can survive the Ayers and obamas. America cannot and will not survive the people who put individuals such as obama and members of the Democrat Party in positions of political power. And continue to return said individuals to positions of political power election.

The election of 2008 and its forerunner, the election of 2006 proved at least three things, none of which were lost on the Democrat Party. The things:1. Given a choice, the voters prefer someome with no principles over someone with some principles to rule over them. 2. There are more parasites than producers. 3. A majority of those who vote prefer to be Governmentan slaves than free people. Like slaves throughout history, just make me feel secure and take care of me is their motto.

Unfortunately for Billy Ayers, he's target #1 at the outset of the war.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of #1 targets. But he's high up there.

Sturm Ruger’s stock chart of this last year pretty much shows how that’s gonna go.

Allen West called the Congressional Progressive Caucus communists, so that’s a start. Where’s the rallying cry from the other Tea Party Freshman Representatives and Senators?

Let Romney select Allen West as the Veep nominee and we’ll see some real fireworks in D.C.! Can you imagine the hissy fit the LSM would throw if Allen West as a whole black VP candidate would freely criticize the half black Usurper as a communist wannabee...priceless!

Allen West for VP would be great. Romney won't do it though because that would 'upset' the libs. . . Maybe he'll surprise us. .

These twits think a civil war is winnable?

Yep.

And it is, somebody's gonna win.

(It won't be America)...

I don’t think he’s been around REAL MEN for years-other than when he killed them.

I’m a girl and probably have more real fight in me than this guy and all his commie friends put together...MY FIGHT comes from above and I will fight for my Blessings no matter what.
