Does this still mean that Romney voters or supporters will be banned?
How different this campaign would’ve been with Sarah in the race. The difference between day and night, good and evil!! She is a campaign dynamo!! Twenty thousand plus turn out in Searchlight Nevada, pop 107!! Do you miss her yet?

Brothers-in-arms Jim. Hooah.
I compromised in the past, when I voted for Dole, Bush and McCain. I can no longer do it. We say we next time will be different and next time is ALWAYS worse. I’m done. God has really laid it on my heart not to compromise about this. I must follow God.
Peace brother, I don’t think I will be around much. I can’t stand watching people cave in.
Rather I will be working on my new ministry and my books. Perhaps I will be back after the election.
“And I said that WHERE? Quit lying about me, troll.”
Un-wad your panties. From my #771: “If either of you are not one of those goofballs, sorry - it wasnt intended for you.”
Awesome, you are. Thanks.
I’ll shoot ya a freep mail of speakers events etc
You just had to go and spoil things with a bunch of facts, didn’t you?
I voted for McCain because of Sarah. If he had chosen any other VP candidate, I don't know what I would have done. Now I'm in the same (or worse) position. I will wait and see who he chooses for a VP...hopefully, a real Conservative, in which case, I will once again hold my nose and vote for the VP.
I hoped and prayed that Sarah would run, but under the circumstances, I totally understand her reluctance! I am so afraid for the future my children and grandchildren face. I am scared to death that Ru Paul will pull a Perot on us. In a perfect world, there is no way I could ever vote for Romney, but once again, he is the better of two evils, the other evil being the worst evil ever visited upon this country! At least there is a chance that Romney would replace the outgoing Supremes with other-than-Marxists! Personally, I feel that we have to vote for Romney. The alternative is tantamount to giving the vote to Obama. Four more years of his regime, and I truly believe there will never be another election! (I hope I'm wrong, but the writing is on the wall.)
In the meantime, I pray every day that God will deliver us from Obama and his henchmen. If it weren't for prayer, I would feel totally helpless...
Well I can’t argue much with that.
You do what you gotta do and God be with you and guide your steps.
Me, I’m going for more ammo and liquor..
It’s not just Obama we’ll be voting against. It’s everyone in the Obama administration, including Holder, Geitner, Clinton and all the czars and every appointed judge to come.
Truce is a GREAT idea. Maybe we can move past the endless “I won’t vote for Romney/Then you’re voting for Obama” threads and talk about something constructive, like saving this country.

“...there’s a chance, however small, that Romney will govern to the right of Obama.”
Ditto. See #810.
Well he has worked really hard and pretty smart for a really long time and he has a lot of smart, wealthy, hard-working core supporters who helped him all along the way.
So there is that.
Politics is the art of the possible. Otto von Bismark said that, and he ended up getting pretty much everything he wanted in time. What that means to me is that practical politics means having to make deals you don't want with people you don't like for only part of what you're after. A lot of idealistic politicians find that out the hard way when first they descend, starry-eyed, into the bowels of government.
I can articulate what I'm after: it's a smaller, less intrusive federal government that lives within its means and makes an honest effort to minimize its load on the electorate. Basic conservatism. I hesitate to use emotionally colored cliches such as ruling class, but there really is something to that term, and its referent spans both formal political parties, and smaller, less intrusive government is not in its interest. And so "part of what you're after" may not be available from either, in which case there isn't really much point in compromise at all.
This business of "vote for A or B will destroy the country" strikes me as little better than crude extortion even if it happens to be the case. Chaps a bit to have to pay the extortionist off, doesn't it? This is not, of course, open sanction for everything the extortionist has in mind, but it will certainly be represented as such by media openly hostile to smaller government, and they too have a stake in larger government because they're now an active part in it. Hence your dissatisfaction. Hence mine.
For me the real danger is from 0bama's decidedly left-wing, decidedly radical academic hangers-on who have been happy to leverage his administration into lasting political power. The hope some seem to hold that under Romney they will all go away is, I am afraid, a bit naive. It is they who promise to cause lasting damage to the country through control of the institutions that he hasn't the slightest desire to rein in. This is a very frustrating time to be a conservative.
No *%#&ing way! Please don't do it, Jim. "The Cloud" is not your FRiend.
if Romney wins, we are guaranteed to have a left winger in the White House for at least 8 more years.
“Me, Im going for more ammo and liquor..”
Common sense and reason live to fight another day.
