A 6-year-old boy was suspended from his suburban Denver school for three days after school officials said he told a girl "I'm sexy and I know it," a line from a popular song.
D'Avonte Meadows, a first-grader at Sable Elementary School in Aurora, is accused of sexual harassment and disrupting other students, according to a letter the school district sent to his mother after he was sent home Wednesday.

Well, I'm just LMFAO about the kid.
(And now that song is stuck in my head again. Go away evil music!)

If he had said, "I'm sexy because I'm gay", It would have been OK. In fact he may have gotten some special treatment afterward.

Me too. Dangit.
I guess my daughter would be in big trouble if she was heard the (short lived after my admonishment) thing of singing Lovely Lady Lumps at the age of 5.

To the left, children are lumps of clay till birth. And somewhere around the age of four are regarded as adults and treated accordingly.

My God... Every time I hear about things like this... I'm glad for my kids being homeschooled...
BTW, D'Avonte mother... why did you give your child an unusual name? (The more unusual the name, the more difficult to be hired. I read that in a baby name book when oldest was born).

D'Avonte mother... why did you give your child an unusual name? It seems unusual names have become usual. Today, it's hard to find a young boy named John, Thomas, William, Richard or Edward.

I read somewhere, in another article, on this that it was not just that the kid was singing the lyrics, he was waving his posterior in the girls face and has done so repeatedly with warnings, so finally he was suspended. Of course journalism being what it is today we don’t get all the facts.

True.. especially in the African-American community... the most unusual name my kids have is Euen (Owen in Welsh) which is his middle name (and he likes going by it rather then Mark, his first name). He is my middle son.
In his public school class...not one A-A had a common name, but names like Geteye, Saqqara and Yesuto.
