Obama Calls for 'Common-Sense Policies' to Move Economy
By Devin Dwyer | ABC News – 16 hrs ago

Continuing to cast himself as an activist president defying slim odds for election-year legislative compromises, President Obama in his weekly address pushes "a few common-sense policies that would make a difference" with the economy.

"There are things we can do - right now - to help create jobs and restore some of the financial security that so many families have lost," Obama says.

The list of initiatives - which the White House has billed as Congress' "To-Do list" - includes elimination of tax breaks for companies that outsource; a mandated expansion of mortgage refinancing eligibility; tax credits for clean energy companies and small businesses that hire new workers; and creation of a new veterans job corps.

The Democratic proposals have received little or only lukewarm support from Republicans. But Obama has continued to tout them at a series of official events in an attempt to appeal to voters.

Common sense it is? All right!!! I can grok that! Common sense says resign immediately Barack. First, admit your policies have been disastrous, and you don’t know the first thing about economics. Then get out please.

Obama actually makes a vote for Romney, as bad as he is, an act of common sense.

The best common sense policy would be if His Excellency would resign.

How about reduce the tax on ammo? Oh wait they are at max production now. Or how about the tax on guns? Oh wait they are at max production now.

I guess O’dumby has done some things to increase the economy.

Well some of the things on his To Do List have already been done and they did not work he is such a liar but his base is stupid

“tax credits for clean energy companies and small businesses that hire new workers; and creation of a new veterans job corps.” these should have been crossed off his list already tried and failed

Sorry folks, I’ve never had a job, never made one dollar on my own, never done anything constructive, in fact, never done anything but stir the pot. So, my idea now is to raise taxes so the government can continue to spend money it doesn’t have and create anger and hatred where none exists. I’m pretty sure your all as stupid as I think you are and pretty sure there are enough of you idiots out there to elect me again. Just remember “from those according to their ability, to those according to their needs”. If we all pull together, we can have a country just like California.

“...to help create jobs and restore some of the financial security that so many families have lost,”

He’ll probably never get through his thick, socialist head the following simple facts:

1. No one ever starts a business to create jobs
2. The only reason an entrepreneur starts a business is to make money, i.e. profit.
3. He will hire people to work for him only if they help him make more money, i.e. more profits.

Conclusion: If you want to create more jobs don’t demonize profits and businesses that make money, instead praise them and create an environment that fosters successful companies rather than tear them down.

Obama doesn’t know what common-sense is, and he certainly wouldn’t know what it is when applied to legislation.
