George Zimmerman is being punished for self-defense! A scapegoat for gun control. If he profiled anything it was thuggish, criminal behavior.

What a disgrace! This would work against pres. Jug Ears if George Zimmerman’s account got disseminated widely but I doubt it has. Most Americans have only heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth and BS from the Treyvon side

The FBI along with the race hustlers is making it hard to have a fair trial. Now the FBI will get into the race hustling biz...if they proceed with this hate crime jive

Dammit, I knew Zimmerman should’ve fled to Brazil when he had the chance, where he could’ve given Obama, Holder and whoever else the middle finger.

It's pitiful that this is what the FBI has been reduced to.

Methinks we've defined a new type of crime; "hate defense."

I am making an example of you, to send a message out to people everywhere: that if you want to hurt another human being, you'd better make damn sure they're the same color as you are!

(from an episode of South Park, where they hit the nail on the head.)

Based on what?

There is nothing to convict him of something like that, but this isn’t about justice.

Is the goal to take away the right of self-defense?

Yup. And if I may don my tinfoil - proudly and without any sense of shame - this is being directed, not just by Holder and his gang of race pimps, not by the kenyan jughead and his desperate race pimping re-election campaign, but by the same folks who give us Agenda 21. It's a globalist disarmament program aimed right at the heart of American Exceptionalism and Freedom. I'm Sirius.

Zimmerman defended himself against someone who was trying to kill him. If Martin had been white, he wouldn't be facing any charges at all. Because Martin was black, and because Zimmerman was falsely reported to be white, he's facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison.

Anyway, only whites can be guilty of hate crimes. Zimmerman is part black. How can he be guilty of a hate crime against another black person?

The only profiling Zimmerman did was to notice that this person, whose race he wasn't aware of at the time, was acting like someone casing an empty residence to burglarize it. The idea that racial profiling was involved was created by ABC's mendacious editing of the dispatcher tape, and by Martin's girlfriend's reconstruction of their conversation days after the event.

Having the FBI involved increases Obama's ability to exploit this politically, it seems to me. It's now a federal case.

Here we go again....The media exaggerating something. The FBI might be investigating, but, at this point, it is not "seeking to charge" Zimmerman. There is nothing in this story that verifies anything other than they are trying to get at the truth of what really took place that night. The media always jumps to conclusions that favor the Liberal, hate filled, brain dead.

How could a man, who has stood up for and defended Blacks in the past, has a partially black racial background, and who has appeared genuinely sorry that Trayvon is dead, be considered guilty of a hate crime? I am so tired of the truths of this case being swept under the rug while the lies, hatred and animosity are being encouraged by the Liberal media, Democrat politicians, and anti-White prejudiced groups.

Actually any charge coming from the FBI would be brought in Federal Court. What this is IMO is an attempt to get any jury ingrained in the theory that it was not self defense. Also, there will exist an onus if they don’t find him guilty, the DOJ will move a prosecution to make them look biased.

One of the problems with this kind of crap is one can never prove themselves innocent once an “investigation” is launched. You see, under investigation by the FBI cannotes to some the party is guilty. Since the FBI works for Holder, one can see the genesis of this investigation as plain as the sun rising on the ocean.

I detest these people with every fabric of my being.

“profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him”

I realize stalking actually is a crime, though he’s not charged with it. They have a rather loose definition of stalking in this case, as it apparently is no different than following. But do you notice how they slipped “profiled” in there, as if profiling is in itself bad? Since when can’t private citizens profile eachother?

I realize it’s supposed to be bad for cops to profile. But first of all it’s not, and they very well couldn’t do their jobs without it. What’s bad is when they violate rights by stopping, searching, arresting, etc. without probable cause on the basis of profiling alone. But then, as you’ll notice, the bad thing is not profiling, but warrantless search seizure, arrest, etc.

Now, police forces may make rules against profiling in the interest of curtailing warrantless whatevers, but that’s a bureaucratic thing. And anyway, it has nothing to do with the professionalism of your average Nightwatch Joe, mostly because he’s not a professional. It also has nothing to do with the law, which is what we’re supposed to be concerned about here.

Is the goal to take away the right of self-defense?

YES!

The goal of socialism is to control every aspect of the subjects' lives, and to make them totally dependent on the State for everything.

It’s bigger than the right of self-defense. Much more ambitious on several levels.

I took the article to mean they had to prove the crime to convict him, even though, yes, they said charge. That’s not true, either, though. There’s no such thing as proving a charge, only a standard of guilt “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

But you’re right, charging is a much, much lower standard still. Some crimes, capital or otherwise infamous ones, demand a grand jury, but I don’t know if that’s the case here. Certainly grand juries don’t demand you prove anything. They’re pretty easygoing, and side with the prosecution overwhelmingly.

The FBI was in charge when Clinton and Janet Reno had the Branch Davidians and all their children torched to death, right?

If I recall correctly the only two government agents who were killed (and by ‘friendly fire’) were both former Bill Clinton bodyguards...
