JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) - The first day of the last week for the Missouri legislatures 2012 session was highlighted by armed police guarding the House chamber where a controversial radio talk show host was being honored.
Behind the locked doors of the chamber that was surrounded by more than one dozen police, Rush Limbaugh watched as his bust for the Capitols Hall of Famous Missourians was unveiled on Monday, May 14.

I did not see the other thread from same station until just now. Thought this was new. Oh well, multi threads tend to happen when you need a second cup of coffee.

Thanks for posting your thread! The thread police do not seem to realize that everyone can not be on FR 24-7. I did not see the previous thread and was wondering where Rush was yesterday. I assumed he was at another golf tournament until I saw your post.

I think Rush eminently qualifies as a famous Missourian. It doesn’t matter that the left wingers loath him; in fact, that’s a compliment.

I have been a listener of Rush since 1991, He opened my eyes in so many ways, I was a a product of a liberal public school and parents, pretty much brainwashed until I started listening to Rush. He is one of my personal hereos. Congatulations Rush!

They have a whole thread at DU dedicated on vandalizing it.
I like going over there and seeing heads explode when things don't go their way.
I call it a sinful pleasure it makes me feel so wonderful.
To: AmonAmarth
Been a listener myself since 1991. :)

Yep, same here, I consider liberals my enemy, and I love to read the comments on sites like DU, KOS, and the Huffington Post, keep my finger on their pulse, if you will.

I've been a listener since he was syndicated out of Sacramento, whenever that was. I like him too. I rarely spend a weekday without checking in with his program at least for a few minutes. When I think of famous Missourians, I think of Mark Twain, Harry S. Truman, and Rush. I see from the
list that there are other Missourians who deserve to be noted. I like Ginger Rogers and the artist Thomas Hart Benton and George Washington Carver -- I read a biography of him decades ago, but forgot he was from Missouri). The ones I mentioned are the only ones I myself knew were from Missouri.
