President Obama has opened up a double-digit lead in New Hampshire, according to a survey from left-leaning Public Policy Polling released on Tuesday.
Obama leads with 53 percent over Romney at 41 percent. Romney led by 2 percent in the same poll conducted in July.

Well, if they found a reason to switch to Obama this month, they at the very least have their heads up their as*es.
Remember to wait for the internals, boys and girls.
But but I was told because Willard has a house in NH and was governor of Mass he is a “native son” of NH....
Yeah, New Masshire
Probably many of them are liberals who fled Massachusetts taxes
it may appear a beat is skipped here and there...but the beat goes on...whaddjaspect?
like alinsky wrote in his book dedication...don’t mistake where we are...and when...
Upswing in OBozo’s numbers...must be LOT’S OF HOMO’s livin’ in the Granite State!!
PPP??? . . . HAHAHAHAHAHA! I’ll wait for some more reliable source, like . . . oh . . . say Media Matters. :)
"Obama's bridge to socialism..."
—Probably many of them are liberals who fled Massachusetts taxes—
I was at a client site in Concord, NH about seven years ago. That is exactly what I was told by a local what is happening to the state.
BIG swing state? New Hampshire has 4 electoral votes, how can they swing anything? I guess any good news for "the made for television president" excites the media.
After the NYT poll showing Romney leading nationwide the call went out for all the fellow-travelers to gin up some good Obama numbers.
“The PPP survey of 1,163 New Hampshire voters”
No break down on whether registered or likely, or just adults.
Some claim the state is infected by New Yorkers moving in ruining the state like ex-NYers did to VT. The Mass exiles are more of the right, at least libertarian.
NH is not a swing state. The only way Romney wins NH is if this turns out to be a massive wave election where Romney carries most of the states.
There’s a lot of Massholes in New Hampshire..............
NH is a swing state in the sense that it has voted for the eventual winner in 8 out of the last 10 elections. So does it swing to a winner or make a winner? With Romney a close neighbor I’d bet it goes R this year which looks like another swing to the winner year to me.
“I left Massachusetts because I hated Romneycare. At least if the Supremes toss Obamacare it is very unlikely he can pass it again in a second term. Not so sure about Mitt”.
That’s my guess anyhow.
That was my thought - since when is NH a “swing state”?
Smells like BS.
Wow, New Hampshire.....how many electoral votes is that ? As in how many NH states does it take to equal one Ohio, or North Carolina, etc.....
Next thing you now Delaware will be the new swing state....WTF.
I remember when the Free State Project decided New Hampshire was the place to go. I guess they were duped by the “live free or die” on the flag.
You are correct...the problem is more New Yorkers than Massholes...not sure which is worse...the NY’ers, or ticks. Of course; they are BOTH parasites.
Got to remember that NH is in the northeast. Obama has pretty much lost what is called “flyover country” . Still pretty much one and done.
Sorry,I'm not buying it! Not for a minute.
Isn’t New Rumpshire the “Live Gay or Die” state?
Romney LIVES in NH after fleeing Massachusetts.
The GOP is soooooooooooooooo screwed.
>>PPP??? . . . HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ill wait for some more reliable source, like . . . oh . . . say Media Matters. :)
Seconded. LOL! PPP is to polling what psychosis is to mental health.
There's lies, damn lies, and... Polls?
Not only is the new senator a republican, but also she is a tea partier.
This is gonna be a close one.Anyone,on either side, who says otherwise is delusional. In 2000 algore came within something like 1000 votes of carrying NH.And if he "had" carried it the "hanging chads" would have meant *nothing*,algore would be "former President algore" today.Check the stats.
PPP is an arm of the Dem party. Rasmussen is the only poll I believe in. Obama is sinking fast in NC per Drudge headline 51%-43%. NC is also a swing state.
Ditto, I call BS on this NH poll. Obama is NOT popular around here at all. Also, most Massholes who move up here, tend to be the conservatives that did it to escape Mass.
The problem has been New Yorkers and other people form the mid Atlantic that are retiring to their lakefront vacation home.
However, 2 years ago NH swung back to Republican in a huge way. We retook the NH house, NH senate, both US congress seats and kept retiring Judd Gregg’s US Senate seat. So unless they polled Keene, Durham and Hanover(all college towns)I call BULL SH*T on this poll.
Pro-choice retread Congressman Charlie Bass...Republican, a la Collins, Snowe, and Romney. Many in NH voted GOP in the belief that they would make the attempt to overturn the 'gay marriage' law...of course; once the GOP legislature was seated; repeal of gay marriage was relegated to the back burner. (Suckers.) Bass and Guinta were the beneficiaries of the 'down ticket' vote. Even at that, Bass barely eaked out a razor-thin victory over baby-butcher 'Annie' McLean Kuster. She is running against Bass again...
Ayotte? ROTFLMAOPIMP! Sorry...Sarah screwed up with that endorsement...Ovide was the conservative; she barely squeaked by him in the primary. Let it go, folks...NH is not a conservative state. It will trend more and more liberal as conservatives continue to leave the state...
New Hampshire is a swing state? Really?
Poll Date Sample Obama (D) Romney (R) Spread
RCP Average 4/2 - 5/13 — 48.7 42.3 Obama +6.4
PPP (D) 5/10 - 5/13 1163 RV 53 41 Obama +12
WMUR/UNH 4/9 - 4/20 486 LV 51 42 Obama +9
Dartmouth 4/2 - 4/5 403 RV 42 44 Romney +2
Poll, Poll, Poll, they all say something different, The real poll will be Nov 6th
Who gives a crap. New Hampshire only has 4 electoral votes. A really meaningless state when compared to Ohio and Florida.
They’re grasping for straws in a tornado.........
Most polls are like Democrats - can’t believe what they say and have to wait for the event to occur to check veracity.
Dem 34%
Rep 31%
Indep 35%
Liberal 33%
Moderate 31%
Conservative 36%
These numbers and favorable/unfavorable numbers (52/45 favorable for Obama, including nearly 60% favorable rating from "moderates"? - no way).
It just don't jibe with the recent experience of those of us who live here.
That's the problem with an early primary...no one cares about you anymore.
Romney led in the same poll conducted in July???? What year?
I’m missing something here.
It is another of those crappy registered voter polls. Show me the likely to vote polls and then we’ll talk
“New Hampshire is a swing state? Really?”
Yes, it is. Really.
It’s the only state in the northeast where conservatism still has some traction. Not as much as it once had any more, but “some”.
And its 3 electoral votes will become very important in the election. They may end up as being the total that secures the victory for Romney.
This election will be a close one. Not necessary close in the blue states, and not close in the red states. But it will be a battle in the purple “swing states”. And I predict the electoral college vote may be the closest in election history.
My opinion only, I realize yours may be otherwise.
One other thought — as leftist as we regard Vermont these days, up until the early 1960’s it was a “reliably Republican” state. What happened?
