G.O.P. 'Super PAC' Weighs Hard-Line Attack on Obama (Excellent!)
NY Times ^ | 5/17/2012 | Jeff Zeleny and Jim Rutenberg

WASHINGTON — A group of high-profile Republican strategists is working with a conservative billionaire on a proposal to mount one of the most provocative campaigns of the “super PAC” era and attack President Obama in ways that Republicans have so far shied away

Timed to upend the Democratic National Convention in September, the plan would “do exactly what John McCain would not let us do,” the strategists wrote.

“Many Americans have NO idea this stuff is out there”

But you are going to face a maelstrom from the press about racism. That will then become the issue which will distract from Romney’s message. So the debate will be whether Romney is racist or not. Is that what we want the focus to be on. The election is only 8 weeks long after the conventions, so do you want to throw away that time refuting allegations of racism or attack Obama on his record?
Someone on here made the good point that Americans are looking for normalcy that is what Romney needs to portray not a personal attack on Obama’s past. There is plenty to cover in 8 weeks without Wright.

While the Wright tie-in is one approach, the killer issue is the economy and the debt he's run up. Also, my liberal twin gave me a copy of Rules for Radicals for Christmas, written by Saul Alinsky decades ago. If you read that book, you will see that Obozo is walking right down the chapter outline of what Alinsky proposed all those years ago. The GOP should make political hay out of that, too, as I still believe the majority in this country are not in favor of what Alinsky sees as a future.

Oh, Bull$hi*. The race card is a dead issue to anyone who still has a neuron firing somewhere in their head. Gees, think about it: 1) he's already been elected, and 2) he's only half-black. If the GOP isn't smart enough to deflect this crap from the MSM, it's time for a new party...one that reflects the "kick-'em-in'the-stones" attitude that's necessary to play the Dem's own game. I've just about had it with the GOP's "play nice" attitude.

Go ahead and play into the dems plan. They would love nothing more than to see the Romney campaign go down this road. God there is so much to throw against Obama from his record. Great campaigns out there based upon his record.
That is what Americans need to be reminded of, he has spent 3 1/2 years fighting for Obama Care, stimulus, green energy, the list goes on and on, instead of focusing upon the economy. Why waste time on Wright.

You are hitting the nail on the head!! Nobody likes to think they have been made a fool by another, so taking OBambi's words frm his speeeches before he was elected about raising costs to coal, raising gas prices, favoring college over blue collar and getting the middle class working is all that is needed to be said about the "ONE." Voters know they have been swindled, now they need to be reminded that he did not bring the country togeather but broke his promise.

Another good way to show his failures is to list commisssions like Simpson Bowles and ask, "He appointed these people what did he do with their advice?"

Hell, conservatives face a maelstrom from the press about racism if they so much as wish blacks a nice daym for it is a racist double entendre. Every one knows oppressed blacks never have a nice day in racist America.

I like this a lot. Of course, the lamestream media will use it as “proof” that the GOP is “racist”. Also, I love how the lamestreams never give us an inside picture of the scorched earth policies of Barry and his pals. They are so in the tank for him it’s beyond pathetic.

“Hell, conservatives face a maelstrom from the press “

I know, and they just can’t wait until something like this comes up so they can put forth their template of what they want to portray Republicans as: Racists. My question is why give them that opportunity?
Make them face up to Obama’s record. Its so easy.
There is a boat load of great material out there. Just show people out of work, the jobs lost, and Obama saying over and over how he is focused like a laser on the economy and jobs, that never appear. 5 trillion spent for what result? Show him playing golf, cozying up to Hollywood, Nobel Peace prize, its all there for the taking. We don’t need to let others determine the headlines, make your own.

Where’s the document that Zeleny said was “obtained by The New York Times through a person not connected to the proposal who was alarmed by its tone?”

Exactly, at the same time show the national debt clock racing forward as he keeps talking about balancing the budget. Show millions of stimulus dollars spent on green energy projects that create a handful of jobs. Just run a scrolling list of the boondoggles he spent billions on that went nowhere. Hit hard the fact that there are less people working now then when he took office.

Those spineless butt sore bass turds who call themselves Republicans can’t even big itch slap Barney Frank!. There is only two Republicans in my lifetime who had Democrats running for cover; Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin! McCain lost the last Presidental elections because he had his pants below his knees and one hand on his ankle and the other hand trying to cover Sarah’s mouth. When I hear an actual attack ad that defends my conservative core values, then I will have something to get excited about.

Sorry, too late. The kenyan doesn’t care now about this stuff now. Anything that takes the focus off the economy and his performance as POTUS is fine with him. I don’t think it’s an accident that we suddenly now have his (white) ex-girlfriend appear. The dims WANT this stuff dredged up now because it is a distraction.

The obamacare secret deal with Big Pharma is much more promising for the GOP. I want to hear more about that.
