Why Kenyan Birth Claim Was No 'Fact Checking Error'

No sooner did the literary agency brochure in which Barack Obama was said to be Kenyan-born surface than the media went to work to deep-six it.

"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me - an agency assistant at the time," Miriam Goderich, now a named partner in the literary agency, Dystel & Goderich, wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News, which was then picked up ABC News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."

This confession rings false to the point of preposterous for any number of reasons. Let us start with the obvious. At the time, 1991, the Acton & Dystel agency listed 90 clients, Obama among its least significant. How likely is it that Goderich would have remembered enough about a 1991 "error" to know it was hers, especially since it went uncorrected through several revisions until changed in 2007? To make this claim credible, there would have to be an existing paper trail leading to an Obama submission in which he lists an Hawaiian birth. I am confident that there is no such submission.

What can obama do to Rush. If obama derides Rush it just increases his listenership.

I want the truth as much as you do but let's not forget people like the guy who peeped at passport records (Obama's?) who was found with a bullet in his head, Donald Young, Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Kathleen Willey, etc.

These people in power do not play around.

Even one of the guys in Arpaio's CCP said media members have received threats.

If you have a Wife, Family or something else to lose, you're vulnerable to intimidation.

Do you think his audience would favor or disfavor his beginning each show with maybe a short nondenominational prayer?

I don't go to Church to hear politics and I don't tune in Rush to hear prayers.

Most of these early "supporters" of the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF were party to the Communists "spooks".

It's the same as calling someone a racist. When the Left becomes too comfortable tossing out the racist card, it eventually becomes obvious that the charge is only being made for political purposes.

I think that calling Limbaugh a birther would be accusing the person-too-far, and the charge of birtherism will begin to lose its value.

The more authors that come out claiming how ridiculous it is for their literary agents to not have the right bio for their clients,especially after 16 years, and many revisions, the more this hits home with people that somewhere Obama is not telling the truth. I’ve noticed this on another message board.
