Leftists refuse to acknowledge that even the worst corporation doesn't have the power of the state(the police, the courts, the military) to impose and enforce what they want on people. When it comes to the issue of tyranny, the state always has the edge.

I fear them both. Big business is but one reason why we have big government.

That should be a Romney campaign slogan:

“Rational People Fear Big Government, Not Big Business”

followed by:

“...and who has made the government bigger than ever before? And who has spent more than every single president before him COMBINED”

Fear both when they start working together.

That is when the real fun begins.

Liberalism is the religion, abortion is its sacrament - and now same sex marriage is its litmus test. (or loyalty oath)

Why, to be specific, does the left fear big corporations but not big government?

Libtards demonizes big business because they don't understand natural economic phenomena, and they have a prescientific worldview of economics which leads them to believe that big business is equivalent to evil spirits that oppresses the neoproletariat.Next they they believe that their protection from such harm lay in securing the aid of a more powerful benevolent spirit, such as the government.

I believe that BIG GOVERNMENT and BIG BUSINESS would both be reduced greatly if one industry was eliminated completely.....BIG LOBBYISTS!! They are the direct tie between Government and Business and CONSTANTLY lobby for legislation to help themselves out at the detriment of others. Due to this, most legislation is focused on how it may affect this business or that business, this industry or that industry, but RARELY looks at the effects on the everyday American.

Big government, big business—same thing. Try building something or a tiny manufacturing business in a scenic part of the West. Then find out who the so-called environmentalists are really connected to through family ties, former employment or NGO.

Stop feeding the anti-competition regulators. Become more self-sufficient.

obsessive capitalists refuse to acknowledge that all aggregations of power oppress freedom; that “big business” is a really handy tool for and enables big government feed its insatiable lust for power.
