Groups Concerned Over Arming Of Domestic Drones

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – With the use of domestic drones increasing, concern has not just come up over privacy issues, but also over the potential use of lethal force by the unmanned aircraft.

Drones have been used overseas to target and kill high-level terror leaders and are also being used along the U.S.-Mexico border in the battle against illegal immigration. But now, these drones are starting to be used domestically at an increasing rate.

The Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use drones across the U.S. They are controlled from a remote location and use infrared sensors and high-resolution cameras.

Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas told The Daily that his department is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.

Since the status of Americans has been lowered to that of potential domestic terrorists then that makes them equal to foreign, Muzzie terrorists. And all those terrorists need killin’, right?

Fire away, Feds.

Will rewards be issued by the New Black Pampers for the shooting down of drones (armed or not)?

No need to result to firepower where a flamethrower will work just fine. Drones of this size and type flying below 400’ can be jammed out of the sky by anyone with a little skill.

Most laws exempt police/military. If they don’t, they will.

Currently, it is a matter of safety of flight to not encounter, interfere or collide with civilian air traffic.

Equality does have consequences.

If you're referencing the 14th Amendment, that was one of the pithiest statements I've ever read on the Net.

When I was in USAF flight school they had us shoot skeet on 'weather days'. It was to improve our skill in air-to-air combat. I don't think that I've lost the eye. "Pull you SOB..Pull"

It is a stab at that as well as how the Left has so mis-used and abused the word, “equality.”

The FReepers that claimed drones were only flying over the US due to "testing" for the military should be arriving any minute now to tell us we have nothing to fear.

.......any minute.......

I live in Montgomery County, Texas, and that’s the county where Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel is.

I was stunned to read this whole article and read my county has a drone.

Consider this: If a county sheriff considers certain people to be his enemies, political or otherwise, now he has the capability to spy on his personal enemy list and is considering arming, or has already armed, this drone with rubber bullets and tear gas.

He could say he suspects a person has done “x” and there goes the bullets/tear gas. This is directly opposed to “innocent until proven guilty.” Also, a “we made a mistake” could be used but the person is already hit with bullets/tear gas and everyone in the county would think that person is a bad guy or bad woman or wouldn’t have been subjected to this - the person’s reputation is gone.

This is another way to destroy an innocent person. This is too much power to give to a sheriff or anyone else.

There is a drone in my county - do you want one in yours?

“To heck with ARMING domestic drones...and I the only person in the world who sees a problem in HAVING them in the first place????!!!”

Questions:
What’s the difference between having a helicopter or plane vs. a drone overhead patrolling your city?

What’s the difference between armed drones and armed helicopters or planes? (Like you, I want neither)

What makes armed drones WORSE than armed helicopters or armed planes?

Why hasn’t the government armed helicopters or planes when they’ve had 50+ years to do so, but can’t wait to arm drones?

I have to imagine you are you anti-helicopter and anti-plane for the same reasons you are anti-drone, correct?

The borders have been wide open for decades. There's no control over visa over stays.

We have LEOs and the feds anxious to fly drones, armed or not, over our land. For safety.

Ever heard of a more outrageous contradiction?
