Politico Publishes False Headline About Rush Ratings
Big Journalism ^ | 5/23/12 | John Nolte

Posted on 05/23/2012 6:39:52 PM PDT by Nachum

Monday, Politico's "media analyst" Dylan Byers's posted what at first glance looked like bad news for radio talk show giant Rush Limbaugh, who has been the target of a boycott after apologizing for comments he made about about pay-for-my-birth-control crusader Sandra Fluke. Byer's headline reads: "Limbaugh takes post-Fluke ratings hit." According to Paul Bond's reporting at the Hollywood Reporter, there's only one problem with Byers' headline: it isn't true. Byers: Rush Limbaugh took a significant ratings hit in some key radio markets last month in the wake of the Sandra Fluke controversy.

There is some bad news coming, but it has nothing to do with the skank. One of the big radio companies is going to drop his show for Huckabee because Rush is expensive I guess.

Yes, while Poliico may be entertaining to read, it is quite biased in a liberal sort of way.
Still, to be well informed you should read the other side too. See when they are coming for your guns.

I guess that occasionally happens when you charge confiscatory rates.

Rush doesn’t charge confiscatory rates. That would only happen if he had to power to make someone advertise with him and pay high rates.

Advertisers want to advertise with Rush because it pays off.

How has JC Penney been doing since they announced they wouldn’t advertise on Rush?

I got a call yesterday from someone trying to push the Tampa times on me. when I said i wasn’t interested due to it partisan coverage, he tried to push the politico on me

we need to start spotting the progressives and hitting them where it hurts... in their advertising dollars.

identify advertisers on politico (or Tampa times) and called them.. let them know you will not be buying their product as they support, through advertisement, progressives that are actively against everything you believe.

also tell them you will encourage your friends to also boycott the business as long as they advertise on that site/channel/station

they’ll back right off... as the left is very aware. and the left will start to feel it

its about time karma smacks these asshats in the face

Hey, more power to him! But he does charge confiscatory rates. I never even knew what confiscatory rates were before I heard him use the term.

I’m with you in regards to the Tampa Times.

They stopped calling me after I asked them how much they were willing to pay me to subscribe to their trash. They used to call me every few months, and I kept telling them the same thing, and they finally realized that, I wasn’t interested in their garbage. One guy even asked me, jokingly, what my price was, and I answered, “$5 for every paragraph that I can get throught that won’t make me puke, and $10 for each that makes me puke”. The guy laughed and said I would be put on their no-call list. I think I won.

Just follow the lead of “Dear Leader” and tell it like you want it to be and maybe a few people will believe it. That’s the way they roll while following the bad example of their “leader”. - It gets worse all the time. All the lies have reached critical mass.

>>>Advertisers want to advertise with Rush because it pays off.

Also, I’ll bet Rush only picks the sponsors with products that he thinks will do well.

He has a very deep, personal integration with these ads and his personal recommendations.

I’ll bet these advertisers have an extremely low failure rate, unlike other medias and markets. It’s like printing money. Maybe Bernanke ought to take out some ads to support his hyper-inflationary money printing.

Boy, you’re easy to brainwash. That’s the language of the left. I don’t remember Rush confiscating anything.

Here’s the definition...

Hey Einstein - confiscatory has nothing to do with confiscating (unless the government is doing it with tax rates).

A confiscatory advertising rate is simply the highest price you can possibly charge, (or what the market will bear.) How is that a bad thing?

Rush has bragged about it and used the term many times.

They've been taking it in the shorts.

Unfortunately, the management rather enjoys that.

“Rush has bragged about it and used the term many times.”

He’s joking when he says that, just like when he goes to a commercial and refers to it as an “obscene profit” break.

Anyway, I apologize for being a bit harsh. Maybe you were trying to be funny and I missed it.

I got a call from the Biloxi Sun Herald, which I dropped a few years back after McClatchy took over and pushed it to the left, telling me about a great deal if I come back. Told them I have the one "subscription" I need with Free Republic. Couple seconds of silence and the call mysteriously disconnected.
