I seem to remember some Saudi prince was recently assasinated by a terrorist with a bomb concealed in his rectum. Whether enough explosives could be carried that way to bring down a plane is uncertain.

I have always thought that the long lines at TSA security would be a tempting target. No one is screened entering the airport and the TSA people and soon to retire cops often assigned to airport duty wouldn't be a match for a trained terrorist with automatic weapons and grenades. This type of terrorist attack at an airport waiting room was done in Israel in the 1970s. Needless to say the Israelis have fixed this security issue.
