Yes , they had a gun and were killed in the act of robbing and beating a store owner, but they just wanted some skittles.
This could have been avoided if the store owner would have just killed himself.

GATES COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - The Gates County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the identities of two suspects involved in a store shooting.
Officials say brothers Quinten Felton and Eddie Felton were shot and killed after an attempted robbery at Joppa Road Store located at the intersection of Acorn Hill Road and Hinton Road in North Carolina around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
During the robbery, Sheriff Edward Webb with the Gates County Sheriff’s Office, says the store clerk was knocked to the ground, kicked in the back of the head, stomped on and kicked in the back of the ribs.

I believe, based on what I’ve read of the story....that the brothers actually grew up within a couple of miles of the store. I’d also be willing to wager, that both had some drug issues.
well if he shot them in the back as they were walking or running away after kicking the crap out of him...he has a problem (sorry to say)
My heart goes out to the clerk, his life as been turned upside down.
He not only shot them in the back but they were in their strollers too.
They attacked him with a deadly weapon...a shod foot. He had the right to defend himself.
The point is, if they are retreating he can’t use deadly force. I’m sure the police will give him every break. But calling these thug punks “children” is not a good PR start.

So he did not shot as they were leaving rather as they were leaving they were going to shot the clerk so he defended himself!
if you wanna play you gotta pay...the story doesn’t go into why they where beating the clerk, I would be left to think it was a robbery gone bad

The way this article reads, it sounds like someone broke into a church and shot these Felton boys as they were praying. How about a little compassion for the store clerk instead of the armed robber scumbags?

OK. It is all fact based. If one perp was pointing gun towards clerk, then he could open fire on that one and we’ll just chalk up Thug #2 as collateral damage.
